Since going to the track twice in one week is beyond rare for me, I decided to look at my slips and see how much the car and I have improved since 2011. I'm happy to say we've gone from a total newb and a 6 with just a DIY SCAI doing 13.97 @ 107mph to a bracket worthy combo capable of putting down 12.06 @ 115mph multiple times a night. It's been a cool learning experience over these 102 passes, meeting great friends along the way. Best part is knowing all the V-8 muscle in the Orlando area now knows what a Crossfire SRT-6 is and how capable of crushing dreams it has become. Anyone doing better than 12.069 @ 115.26mph on a summer street tire?!?

 

As a V6 from 2007 to 2010 = 372,, as V8 from 2010 to 2015 = 408 total 780
all with NO major problems.

Three days after buying my car in 2007 i was on the track. i have the slip, but not home to read it . I think i was in the 13's (will edit later) this was as the V6, the best i got with the v6 was 12.0??,
I then went with a v8, installed by Rudy 4 days after receiving the car (with a V8) i went to the track first run was in the 11.s (will edit time when i get home) now i am running 10.65 @ 130 jim

 

0 in my SRT-6.
Going the first time this summer at Heartland Park Topeka in Kansas since they are finally re-opening. Altitude is 1135 above sea level. Probably hit high 13's low 14's.

 

I don't really know but I'd guess between 50 and 100. Three 1/2 mile events and 60 or so track days.

Great times. I only go when I think a new mod will increase my times. Old blue isn't going until it is totally done. It is now on year 4 and not finished yet. The black roadster has about 20 passes on it. It is a 12 flat car. Hopefully blue will pan out once she is finished. Work has gotten in the way. No time to work on it, and no real progress in the rear end gear swap. I am hoping to work something out with JIM and Rudy on that and then it's track time again.

 

I need a Wavetrac....

 

Well, the wave trac will get you into the 1.60 60ft times. I have a new tune on the roadster and comfident it will stay in the high 11's. 11.96 area. So, yes with a Wavetrac you are able to launch harder. Bring it up till almost breaking loose at the line, then launch. I can't hold the ole blue anymore without slicks, so if the rear swap pans out, spring should be fun again.

 

I spin (sometimes hop) with the Wavetrac and drag radials. In my case, it's the stiff suspension.

I run very consistent 1.7x 60 foot times with a Wavetrac and Mickey Thompson drag radials. I stall to 1400 to 1500 rpm. No wheel spin on a good track.

 

Every time I floor it, there goes a quarter mile!
