I'm curious though as why would the snap ring allow the pulley to retract back to the clutch plate? If that were the case then the bolt would have slack in it no?
The bolt and washer clamp the inner bearing, there has to be some clearance between the outer bearing thickness and the snap ring. I would have guessed it to be about .003/.006" min/max. If it moved that much it could close the gap to spec.
How tight was the bearing in the pulley? If you just pushed it it could not have been too tight.
If you could push on it and get it to move I would have guessed that the magnet would have done it as it is quite strong.

OBDII will not read OEM codes.

DRBIII at the dealer is the only way. Some have reported an Autel reader can. But without the exact cause of the code we are only guessing.
