There is not much you can do to meaningfully lighten the car. The oem exhaust is pretty heavy, so you can save some weight there. I ran around with a 14 lb battery for a couple years, but ended up switching back to a regular battery due to several issues.

I would have an aluminum driveshaft made before doing anything to the interior.

Fortunately, at 3220 lbs it is a fairly light car already.

If you are personally overweight, you can always lose weight.

Lighter wheels would help a ton.

Brakes, wheels, tires, seats, and exhaust are all candidates. If you are really serious, the vario roof can be replaced with a fiberglass or carbon fiber top for significant weight savings.

Ive' often thought the stock AMG seats could be changed out for normal R170 ones.
Merry Xmas all.

Racing seats would be lightest option, but the SLK32 seats are so comfortable! You don't want to ruin the car.

yes i thin about recaro buckets, its about 10 kg with kit each, slk32 seats will be 30 kg? i have tuned on 62mm all mods and have 360 whp , and dont know what be next tune..thinking about intercooler sprayers and spray with wather/ethanol mix from front

Every 1 lbs of rotational weight equals 9 - 10 lbs of static weight.
So 19x10.5 rotary forged rear wheels
Savings of 14 lbs of rotational weight, and seem like taking 140 lbs of static weight off the car.
Same with brakes, lighter rotors, aluminum driveshaft.
The extremely massive flywheel in our 6 spd. Is what kills our manuals.
Why manuals normally have more power at wheels that a auto, but the huge flywheel evens out to a auto in ours.
