S/C pulley?
Re: S/C pulley?
Yes...but the price is outrageous!
All : Eurocharged Crossfire SRT6 Supercharger Pulley
Here's one made in Poland on ebay for 1/2 the price...

Re: S/C pulley?
That seller in Poland HAD some 65mm steel pulleys. I have one of them currently on the black SRT6 rescue roadster. Seems to be nice quality and is working perfectly. Ask him if he has any more of the hardened steel 65mm pulleys . . . His name is "J" and his direct e-mail is kompressorhelp@gmail.com
He had a posting on the forum for these awhile ago and he honored that price for me . . .

The aluminum does not handle the rivets that hold the springs in place, the holes for them become elongated, the rivets come loose and make a noise.

Re: S/C pulley?
Thornh is correct, some stainless steels are non magnetic, some slightly and some magnetic, if I remember correctly some are magnetic until heat treated after which they are basically non magnetic.
The degree to which they are magnetic is a function of their alloys.
The OEM pulley is non magnetic, maybe slightly so but not easily noted.
Read this re magnetic and non magnetic steels.

Awesome! I am complete (today) because I learned something new (I may have known this before but forgot). Interesting article for sure! In cases like this its great to have this feeling of learning something new.

Dave, it gives us an excuse for making the same mistake again, especially when those things are FUN, doesn't it? There are times that I realize I have forgotten more than some of the people who are in charge of many critical things have ever learned. Now THAT scares me because they either do things (should know) they shouldn't without regard for the results, or they just don't care about any consequences. In other words, its FUN relearning some things we have forgotten, right?

Re: S/C pulley?
Works great but I need more cooling. I put a Johnson pump in and that helped but still need more wired it to run all the time but it set codes in the dash. when it runs it really runs now. what I did do to the car is change the springs to performance standard crossfire springs the ride is fantastic and the handling seems the same ( springs are HK off ebay) I also took the back panels out and insulated the side floor and back of seat panel big difference in noise now.
