Carrs machine shop in Pa. Quick turn around and a 67 should not need a tune and make decent power. Rob from Needswings says his 178mm crank pulley does not need a tune and he should know. Let me search for the address for carrs Thanks go to Jefasold, not me.Tim Carr

mail the stock pulley USPS for $5.95, now I need to fond a phone number!(570) 784-7490

Contact them first and make arrangements. I believe 67mm is the smallest they can go and give the grooves the stock depth. If you contact the guy in Poland tell him we are friends, my last name is Swietoniowski, aka, Sweet!LOL

I would hazard the opinion that 67 mm is too small and would one day fracture due to the stresses.

Pulley diameter (67) minus twice the groove depth (.140) minus the bearing outside diameter (55), all divided by two equals the wall thickness remaining.
Thus;

[Ø2.638 –(2 x .140) – Ø2.165] ÷ 2 = .096 wall thickness.

The weak point will be the sharpish corners inside the pulley bore.

I would feel safer with a pulley modified to 69mm which would increase the wall thickness by an extra .040 to .136.

Interested in the spring swap. SRT6 is a bit stiff and a softer ride sounds nice.

I read somewhere where 67 was the safest small size to go but cannot source it tonight. say split that nat 68mm and it is still a good deal. The EC aluminum pulleys are said to fail within a year of normal diving themselves though I took a chance and got one. Went with the 70mm from Carrs to go with my 178 crank pulley which is just about the same as a 62mm SC pulley.
