Pre-purchase vehicle inspection
Re: Pre-purchase vehicle inspection
None of us on the forum would have much respect for anyone who poached a car from a prospective buyer. I have seen quite a few requests for pre-inspection help and never heard of this happening. However, I do not blame you for being cautious. Us Americans are a scuzzy bunch, although Crossfire owners are different.
Re: Pre-purchase vehicle inspection
SuperD500, you have to realize that all the SRT6's are 10 years old now, there are few if any 'official' institutions with the knowledge needed to perform a meaningful inspection.
As goldwing said, a current SRT6 owner is most likely the best resource you could find.

Re: Pre-purchase vehicle inspection
Like ala_xfire mentioned, a lot of people have other members check out cars for them. I've done that for a few people, and had a member here check out the last one we bought all the way in San Diego, California. I would rather have someone that knows of the problems they can have go to check it than some random stranger who has no clue about these cars. And we're usually a lot cheaper than a company!
Re: Pre-purchase vehicle inspection
I used these folks when I was buying the black SRT6 rescue roadster that was in New Jersey last year. They did a very thorough job and provided tons of photos along with a detailed report. I would highly recommend them.

Good luck on your search and purchase of an SRT6 . . .

If you have not considered my SRT6 I hope you will. I can offer a Belgian car collector as a reference for me but he does not know my car.
I am on the east coast 100 miles from the Tail of the Dragon, a road many European bikers find worth the journey to experience.
That was a thorough inspection you were provided. While the expense of it may sting, I believe it was money well spend and avoiding that car was a decision well made.
