Ground Control kits are ready!!!
Re: Ground Control kits are ready!!!
A spot opened up ay my friend's body shop and my crossfire will be living there for the next month or so getting some paint, so this has become back burner.
Too bad, I have been waiting, with money in hand for months to purchase, but I am not going to buy right before I put the car away for winter and there are only a few more track events scheduled...

Ya, I'm the one that got reamed at the very start for insinuating that this was another Corky concept. I guess I'd lose my sense of humor too after telling everyone a half dozen times that the kit would be on the GC site next week for the last several months. Talk about over-indulgent wishful thinking...!!!

Ok sports fans, heres the scoop. The big cheese, Donovan, is in charge of the development and release of the Crossfire kit. That's good and bad. The good is he's the best at Ground Control at developing suspension kits. The bad is he wears many hats and the new kits he's working on depend on the demands on his time. The kit has undergone several revisions. When they entered the busy summer season, prior customers got priority at the machine shop. In other words the machine shop was too busy to get to our kit. My kit and a couple others are at Ground Control ready to ship and will be in the mail this week. They don't take orders while a kit is in development. The kit is developed and will be on the website as soon as the demands on his time allow. Could be this week, depending, but I think... don't know. I'll take pictures when it comes and get right to the install. A shop is going to install the suspension but I'll try to be there to take pictures. Can't promise. Donovan wants feedback, naturally, but all he'll get from me are track times. Faster or slower. Looks like were almost there. What a roller coaster!

Tommy, you have to know how grateful we are. No doubt about it. When your car drove back to Texas in January I was sure I'd be buying in March. Thats at the heart of the mumbling. I know very well that what matters is how it performs once released and not how long it took. So soon it will be forgotten.

And to think, all that pretty stuff was made with :
2 T handle hex wrenches
A pair of scissors
A pair of snap ring pliers
A plastic mallet
A ball peen hammer
6 screwdrivers
Some fingernail polish
A hack saw
And some other shiny thingey I can't quite figure out.
