what would be the point of changing the style of supercharger?

To get a supercharger that flows more volume and more air to make more power I've read on here ours get out of efficiently around 22psi and run hot ....putting a bigger pro charger would solve that problem and going with there inter cooler it might push past the 450whp mark lol just thinking didn't say I was going to do it ...just thinking of ways to make more power of course u would have to do all the fuel upgrades to handle the power and a dyno tune

I think $$$$$ would be the biggest problem. Cost of the parts alone, and modifying the hood, and so on.... I am thinking Z-28 right now...lol.... But, we have a few more things to finish on the roadster and the coupe....especially the coup...so the Z will have to wait awhile....

What are u running in a 1/4 mile and what mods do u have done to ur engine ??? I have a goal in mind and it's might take a pro charger to get there and time and money of course but I'd love to hear ur set up and ET times (my goal is a 10.5 1/4mile car) prefer without nos but hey might be cheaper with lol grip how are u liking ur new nos controller and set up is the car still running strong I might need some of ur advice on nos

If you were going to change out the forced induction I believe you would have more potential at less cost to go turbo than to change to a centrifugal supercharger. My experience with these type of superchargers is that they are common in the aftermarket as they are cheaper than screw types. I don't know if they are more efficient. Heat is your enemy with any FI. Why not spend your money with more intercooling since you would have to that anyway?

Yea I understand but turbo on a auto car for drag racing is a no go for a dyno queen maybe lol but u can't build proper boost off the Line with a turbo unless u go twin turbo with a smaller and larger one to help...as far as those superchargers being cheap not really its a different kind for sure but not cheap a lot of drag cars use them and there a bigger more air flow and more powerful supercharger and the car would blow up before u run out of power there good up to 800hp and a supercharger is much more better then turbo on a auto car of course my opinion lol and no doubt easy power is easily had with turbo

I don't know yet, but i think it is close to your goal. 10.5. Or better. I know i can do a
6xx 1/8 on the street. And no nos. The cars I was raced against was 8-9 sec cars.
No grip when racing the Volvo 142.
But in all, a damned funny Cup race.
Now i am going to increase the pressure and build Top mounted Intercooler.
IAT is your enemy.
And change gear earlier. Max 5900 rpm.
Thats all you need

Ive always thought it would be cool to run a big procharger....mucho more CFM and can get it cooled down much better. Definately wont be as punchy down low as it now but the top end trade off would be stellar. As for the other fella, he has made claims that are through the roof but never showed any slips, dyno sheets or specific setup. So lets say im still skeptical.

I hope I didn't come across the wrong way, but I see no reason not to give it a try. The only downside is loss of low RPM power, but gain up top would be impressive and the ability to switch to an air/air intercooler would be great.

That's all? I thought you run a piggyback system also. You need to spill the beans and post a thread about your car and show us some slips. You have our attention now show us your car.

Autronic SM4.
The only unique on the car is a Crank Pulley, made in solid aluminum. 186 mm.
This is absolutely the best thing i installed on the car.
The engine feels like a V8. Rotational Inertia.
The engine is realy super fast revving up and of course the S/C to.

Other common installations is what you all have. Cams, Needswings Plenum, Headers, CAI,
64,7 mm S/C Pulley, HSTC, blue top solenoids, and a very, very big heat exchanger.
And a Racing exhaust system without cats. Ferrita.

No abracadabra

I think the Autronic SM4 is a big help when to remap the car. Total control.

PS.
I have iat and map sensors installed supplying the Autronic SM4. OBDII is to slow.

Can you please show me a Toyota running with these car. A fake, of course.
