Default Latest n' greatest in brake pads?

Went back a few pages and didn't see anything, but what brake pads is everyone using now? Can't seem to find the Rotex or whatever it was. See some StopTech pads on the NeedsWings site, anyone running those?

There are many brands out there with some type of ceramic technology which have minimum brake dust and good adhesion properties. Personally, I have DiscItalia, a bit pricey but there are many others, look for whatever brand you can afford. You will never go wrong with Robs' choices,(NW) he knows his stuff.

DITTO
If Rob at Needswings sells it then it is a good quality product for our Crossfires
I have personally used the Rotex Gold on my NA and now I'm using Posi-Quiet ceramic pads

Here are others for the SRT6
I'm currently using
Akebono Euro Ceramic Pads
on our BMW and LOVE them !!!

Can anyone provide any comparisons?

Hawk is one company that makes brakes for our cars. In my experience on a Z3, the Hawk HPS pads had less initial bite than OEM pads, but were about the same once warmed up. The dust was reduced, but still present. I never had trouble overheating either pad.

I had Porterfield R4S pads on a Supra. I had routine problems overheating the OEM pads. The Porterfields cured this, and had better friction when warm. The cold-weather friction was non-existent. The first stop on a winter day was actually difficult.

How do you use your car?

Ceramic are all the rage for the street but they are not track pads.

I am a big fan of the Porterfield R4S and have never had an issue with them even in 25 degree weather. Not saying they had the same stopping power as when in warm weather but nothing scary.
