code 3 stacked
Re: code 3 stacked
I would also recommend a SC pulley but if you are set on the crank pulley, I would not go above 181mm. I ran 12.4 in a C32 with just a 181mm crank and OEM SC. Now I'm playing with a 164mm crank and a 62mm SC pulley and running into a lean condition. That's with a 550cc injectors. Stacked is not for a daily driver car unless you have some other means of getting to work.

A - it soundz like you want to have a go.
Get an AFR gauge installed and running. Install a dasdaq.
First - swap your 65mm C2 with a Karman 62mm or EC if you want to save $100. You can onsell these later with a new bearing in the pack, there will always be a market.
2nd - get a 178mm and put your 74mm back on.
3rd - keeping your 178 on - put your 65mm back on and gauge your AFR's. =>20psi.
Spend $1000 and install a KC (or trunk ice) and requisite bypass valves around the IC.
4th - if your still moving ahead....try the 178/62 combo with the KC (or ice tank). Also try it with the interior heater on (for add. cooling)...;>)
I dont know if anyone has hit this combo before.
One of the rotors in the SC will be hitting almost 30,000 rpm by that stage - which is way over its OEM spec of 21,644rpm - but just keep that in mind.
You might have to do a few extra hours at work for a new SC some ways down the track - if only to put better bearings in.

Re: code 3 stacked
That's another 6% gain on a 62mm alone.
interesting a bout the 550's - what's ur minimum AFR?
Re: code 3 stacked
15.6 AFR. 2200 RPM, 15 PSI MAP, 25%IDC and 54 PSI fuel. Later on I'm at
14.3 AFR, 6000 RPM, 20 PSI MAP, 90%IDC and 51.5 PSI Fuel. And then
13.4 AFR, 6100 RPM, 21 PSI MAP, 97%IDC and 50 PSI Fuel.
This is with a new tune. I contacted Jerry from EC but he is out of town. It has been very cold here in NJ lately and the engine coolant temps did not go above 150F. That may also be a factor.
Re: code 3 stacked
Just don't let Steve drive, especially if it is cold outside and you will do fine...bench racers....that's a new one.....lol.... You have to love those that do experiment, because all that R&D has saved me a lot of time and money....and yes, YOU are included in that group...
