Shock replacement question
Shock replacement question
I ordered some KYB front & rear shocks today and read through the maintenance manual. Looks straight forward and pretty easy swap compared to macpherson struts.
My question: is there a mount kit or some other parts to replace at the same time or does the new shocks come with necessary replacement hardware?
Anything else I might need to know before hand?

Re: Shock replacement question
It comes with everything (assuming your not lowered, don't know about that) and is easy. Compress the shock before installation and then let it slowly expand into the body panel. Make sure you get the set up right the first time. After it expands in place its hard to change. Washer, large rubber bushing, car body, smaller rubber bushing, washer, nut. Enjoy
Re: Shock replacement question
Nope, not lowered.
Ever look at a job and say "it can't be this easy..." That's the only reason I asked. lol
Thanks for the feedback!
FWIW, I was going to order the set off Amazon for $204 w/ free ship, but the company wouldn't send to a military APO address. So I ordered from Rock Auto for around $240 shipped. Still cheap for 4 shocks...
