SRT6 Family need help.
whats going on srt6 family..sadly i do need some advice with what to choose and if anyone could help me. let me apologize before hand if anything i am about to ask is stupid, i just really dont know the answers or what to do. Before adding a cold intake system should i do something first to the srt6? or is it ok to add that to a factory srt6? also from needswings if i do choose the intake is there really a big difference between the teflon velocity coated dual intake and the thermal coated dual intake? again i am sorry for the dumbs questions but i read the descriptions and could not get anything. is a dual intake system worth it? or should the single one do? one last thing until next time lol. i dont know what might be causing this but if anything could tell me that would be great when my car is in park and running sometimes my car will begin to shake back and forth noticeable. idk if its the spark plugs misfire or what but after i drive it and turn it off and then wait about 15mins later to turn it back on. while its on and i am in the car i notice the car literaly moving side to side like its shaking like its "cold" haha. let me know please.

On the air intake, that could be a long answer. A lot depends on how much you want to spend. First off, you can add the intake just fine without modifying anything else. You will notice quite a difference with a single and well worth the money. The single is going to add you about 35 hp. The dual adds about 15 more hp. I don't know how much more power the thermal coating adds by keeping the air cooler. I went with the single, but now wish I had done the dual (a lot because of how good it looks).
Do you have any other mods? Are you planning on doing any other mods? I would start with the cold air intake, sprint booster, and engine tune. Depending on how many miles maybe look into replacing the IC pump with a Johnson. As far as money goes, I think you would be much happier with a single intake and sprint booster than a double intake.

You might first see with an OBD-2 reader if the car is throwing any "misfire" codes. I would fix that first if it is misfiring in some way. For a stock SRT6 at 69K miles, if you don't know the maintenance history, start there. Spark plugs might be worn out or need gapping. Some places scan codes for free. Or you could just get a code reader. Amazon has a cheap code reader that runs over Bluetooth that you could couple with the free version of the Torque Android app. Torque full version is only $5.00 and well worth it too.
