Thanks to all who gave advice and showed interest in our 05 SRT Roadster. The car only had alittle over 12K miles on it and was in "pristine condition". Well Chris from NY flew out to Omaha this past Saturday and gave the car the once over and proudly drove away with his son. He was a pleasure to deal with on this car. To those of you that had contacted me with interest, I apologize. My thoughts the entire time with this is "whoever shows up with the money will own the car".

Special thanks to "pizza guy" for posting the pics I had sent to him and the carfax as well. Thanks Mark! I believe you may have even contacted Chris about the cars availability.

 

Thanks tp pizza guy for introducing me to this car. And for Randal and his wife for taking the time to meet me and go over the minutia of the deal. It was the smoothest transaction I have had to date. I can't be any happier with the car. I already ordered new tires and will begin its life on the east coast. The car is what Randall said it was and more. A joy to drive especially with my 13 yr old son who loved hanging with his dad. Stay tuned.

 

All the posts about this transaction have been very interesting. Congratulations to the new owner. It's another great forum friendly story.

Raicerx, congrats on the purchase and you may want to touch base with acrispy1. He's in Long Island and manages the NY/NJ Crossfire Club. There are a lot of owners in that area and some may have "extra" parts for cheap.

 

Congratulations on all involved. I live near the Dragon. Maybe I will get to see it on a visit down.

 

Ichon thanks for the tip, I am new to the forum and am still introducing myself. I will contact the club near me and would love to participate in the community.

 

I really spread the word, I think MY phone rang as much as YOURS did, Randy! I SO wanted someone from the Forum to buy it - and feared you were gonna take it to a dealer, get too little money for it - and we'd loose track of the car entirely....

I am very glad it all worked out well - and the Graphite car I found for me, sold too quickly. Next time I find the "right" car, probably gotta pay the asking price or forget it.

To those of you who missed it, well, sometimes it takes time to find "your" car, and notice that this buyer flew across the country for it - just like I did for "The Graphite Roadster with a Stick"..... cars as rare as these often show up halfway across the country.

 

It's another story of a bunch of obsessed people in a CULT.
