pulley for srt 6 which is the best?
Re: pulley for srt 6 which is the best?
I can only speak from my experience but I have the 181mm pulley kit from EC and I love it. I think it is a good compromise, a bit more boost than the 178 but not so edgy as the 185. There is also the smaller supercharger pulleys but I've seen quite a few problems with bearings and alignment issues. I'm sure you'll get more info than you can digest, guys have every size and type on here and will share their experience with you.
Re: pulley for srt 6 which is the best?
The smaller supercharger pulley is the easiest way to go. Put on a 65mm (64.7) w/ a Eurocharge tune and be done.
I personally own and have tried Code 3 64.7mm (no longer avail) and Eurocharged - 61mm (61.9). I will highly suggest staying away from the 61/62mm s/c pulley unless you want to go all-in with fuel mods. I still haven't got my 61mm tuned to an acceptable air/fuel ratio.

Re: pulley for srt 6 which is the best?
65mm is safest pulley to run in my opinion. Code 3 produced a reliable pulley for some time. They are no longer in business. EC produces pulleys today. I am sure there a few s/c pulleys still out there. I have one, and I am sure there are a few others. You will need to tune for it and the cold air intake once you have them in place. Good luck Blue Eyes...sounds like you are ready to go faster....
Re: pulley for srt 6 which is the best?
All pulleys are with a few tenths of each other which can be attributed to the driver, weather, traction and so forth. Personally if I could do it again i would have gone with a s/c pulley but they were not available when I was purchasing a pulley. IIRC the 178 and 181 are the fastest so far, by a small margin.

blueeyes - you might want to rephrase this sentence....
".....then the best possible combination pulley / filter already I mount the module eurocharged tcu gearshift pedal gear solenoid valve to the original exhaust and tuning the engine control unit "
With stock intakes etc. and 155 crank...the 65mm will give you +30rwhp (from stock 290) with no AFR concerns. She will get high IAT's quickly without cooling mods. But if its just for a short squirt off the lights against a rice burner - fine. The 62mm will give you +40 (from stock), but IAT's are up to another level and touch and go on the fuel (with stock inlet) so AFR gauge essential.
DCAI will give you another 10rwph, but with the 62mm and DCAI it appears you will go lean and fuel mods are the order of the day.
EZ street - 155/65mm and DCAI will net you almost 330rwhp for short spurts for <$1,000.

Re: pulley for srt 6 which is the best?
We all do....
Love the enthusiasm BTW.
I guess put simply.....
Stock 1/4 is around 13 secs
*****$1,000 will get you into the high 12's /qrtr, 65mm code 3 pulley + DCAI (you might even do it iwthout the DCAI) 17psi
*****$1,000-$5,000 will get you into the low 12's
62mm pulley + Fuel pump, data logger, Super cooler, Water isolation kit, oil catch can, Water pump, Waldig fuel prs loop, AFR gauge + tune 20psi
******>$5,000 and you're into the 11's.
62mm pulley with 178 crank = "stacked" , looped fuel rail + wavetrac diff + killer chiller or ice box + exhaust mods + tune >22psi - few (have gone there - you could be one of them....!).
******A little more and you mgiht be low 11's
more tunes, more exhaust, suspension, camber kits, tyres, rims
******I think I read someone had gone into the 10's but can't remember it was so quick.....
note - Prices are before labour. So add 50% if you dont plan on doing it yourself.
Others will chime in with brands, but EC and NW are the main ones talked about here.
EC are large and interntational, but
NW are boutique and growing and reportedly very personable.
Learn to use the BBS search function otherwise you wont make too many friends around here asking questions that have been answered many times before each time someone new comes along (no offence).
I'm sorry I couldn't write it in italiano, but now that Australia have made it to Brazil2014....we gonna woop your a$$ this time buddy....

Re: pulley for srt 6 which is the best?
I started with a 64.7 aluminum Code 3 pulley. It wore out so I purchased and installed a 178 crank pulley. The 178 made more power than the Code 3. A supercharger pulley is so easy to put on and take off that you can install or uninstall one in 20 minutes after doing it a few times. A crank pulley is not so easy.

Re: pulley for srt 6 which is the best?
must be that upside down racing you do down under....I think those times are a little off but close enough in this comparison....lol..... My roadster did 12.2 with the DCAI, Code3 65mm, and a tune.... It didn't have the wavetrac yet, and was on street tires... Now they both have wavetrac, manis, 1 w/ 62mm+fuel, the other w/ the 65mm.... Cant wait to get some times...but I haven't figured out how to set up my fuel pressure on the dashdaq yet, and work has been keeping away from the track..... Blue eyes, if you have a tuner, then you could push the limits a bit, but I would contact Rob, at Needswings, look at manis (intake manifolds) along with the other mods mentioned... Good luck and I like your enthusiasm as well...
Re: pulley for srt 6 which is the best?
I think that I will install DCAI and 64.7 pulley and retune, in Italy the 1/4 of mile is not very usual, instead you research the best 0-100 km / h in Italy is full of porsche cayman, 911, etc etc which I have to remove the paint the branches passing quickly
Re: pulley for srt 6 which is the best?
www.needswings.com can set up, and there are some pulley saver kits, or pulley wrap kits out there as well.
