pulley for srt 6 which is the best?
Re: pulley for srt 6 which is the best?
I may be mixing my 62mm into this as I have changed so many pulleys in the past. I use a Gates belt on the 65mm with a pulley wrap kit. Part # K081153. That is a 1 3/32" X 116 1/4" OC. That doesn't sound like the stock belt to me, but now I am not sure. I can't get to the 62mm belt to check it right now. I know it is different. Either way, Rob at Needswings can supply with the right belt. Shorter may not be correct now that Billy22bob mentions it.
Stock belt 1 3/32 X 115 1/8" OC without the pulley kit. That is Gates Part # K081145. This may be the confusion for me. I run pulley wraps on both cars. So I have changed too many times to be sure. Here's at least a belt for the wrap kit, and for without anyway....
UPDATE:
Billy22bob is correct. Looks like from my notes, the K081145 is a stock belt. So we are running the 65mm without a belt wrap kit with a stock belt. My fault, my confusion. Too many belts, too many cars, too many belt wraps....thanks Billy22bob for catching my error.

Rob what kind of gains am I looking at with your complete pulley kit. I already have you single cai. and removed all cats and resonator. currently dynoed @ 320 untuned. just looking for a ball park to have an idea. thanks in advanced. Alex
Re: pulley for srt 6 which is the best?
blueeyes - you might want to rephrase this sentence....
".....then the best possible combination pulley / filter already I mount the module eurocharged tcu gearshift pedal gear solenoid valve to the original exhaust and tuning the engine control unit "
With stock intakes etc. and 155 crank...the 65mm will give you +30rwhp (from stock 290) with no AFR concerns. She will get high IAT's quickly without cooling mods. But if its just for a short squirt off the lights against a rice burner - fine. The 62mm will give you +40 (from stock), but IAT's are up to another level and touch and go on the fuel (with stock inlet) so AFR gauge essential.
DCAI will give you another 10rwph, but with the 62mm and DCAI it appears you will go lean and fuel mods are the order of the day.
EZ street - 155/65mm and DCAI will net you almost 330rwhp for short spurts for <$1,000.

With that said, and it is now 2015. What are you all running for a smaller pulley?
I am looking for a bit more power and was told the most reliable pulley for our car is the EuroCharge 64.7mm. Are there members with quite a bit of mileage on this pulley? They are aluminum though, will that be a long term issue? I just need some guidance.
They sell it for $475. Adding a ECU tune puts it up to $875 total. Is the tune needed after pulley install?
Not looking to do fuel mods or anything crazy. I have the DCAI installed.
Thanks for all and any insight!

Re: pulley for srt 6 which is the best?
I'd like to know as well. I'm running a 62 karma pulley not stacked. As far as I've been told you can't stack the 62 because the charger can't handle it. If someone has otherwise please share.

Re: pulley for srt 6 which is the best?
Previous comments says 62 and 178mm.
Re: pulley for srt 6 which is the best?
Thanks for the info.... I had read that. I should have specified looking for info on someone that has 62mm pulley stacked. And can share what their experience has been gains, reliability, ect....
Re: pulley for srt 6 which is the best?
I'm trying to find out info too about it.
Re: pulley for srt 6 which is the best?
I would say get ahold of grip grip, boostmonkey,
Re: pulley for srt 6 which is the best?
Super boost with our supercharger, 22psi and up, IMO brings as many negatives …. or more, than positives. Based on running stacked a few days and taking the car to the track. The car was a beast down low. High boost at low revs. Up top the power trailed off, a lot. It wasn't real lean so my guess is the extra boost created was negated by the extra power to turn the supercharger. To run stacked safely you'll have to do a whole bunch of supporting changes to the fuel system which take time, patience and money. Do your research, dream big, don't ignore others experience when you decide what to do.
