Arrow Noob from North TX

I have recently been looking into buying an SRT6 but first wanted to get some more info/research done on these cars. How reliable are these cars and any major or common issues to look for? I would plan on using it as a daily driver to give my SRT8 a break from all the driving I do so how well do these cars hold up as far as driving them on a daily basis?

Would really appreciate any additional information!

Welcome.

Check out this recent thread: Click here

Mine is a daily driver. I've had some of the common issues (i/c pump, k40 relay) but the only time the car is ever really "down" is when I'm doing mods or just being obsessive about some little thing.

Thanks for the welcome and thanks for the thread! Gives me a good idea of what to look for when I test drive one.

Other than the issues mentioned in that thread, can I expect it to last me about 200K miles with regular maintenance done on it?

See

I picked up my '05 DD at 45k miles and just hit 90k. Love it as my DD. No problems other than normal stuff (oil changes, tires, etc) so far. Don't expect any considering its an AMG engine.

I forgot, I've cracked two rims so far but that maybe me or the local roads

Good luck

Welcome from N. Texas! Hey, these are Mercedes engines. Take good care of it and it will run forever. Stogey is selling his with 155k on it and it has a LOT more miles in it:

I drive my SRT every day and have put 35K on it in less than two years. If they have not already been fixed, you will experience the common failures. In addition, you will spend money on tires and normal maintenance. The best thing you can do to keep costs down is get your suspension/alignment right. If you don't you will spend beaucoups bucks on tires for no good reason, especially if your car is lowered.

That said, if you can keep your foot out of it you'll get much better mileage than the SRT8, even with the 4-cylinder mode.
