Default Michelin PS2 or Super Sport

I have had the PS2's on the car since new. I was looking at putting on the pilot super sport (PSS). The PSS are $286 cheaper and trend is PS2 (220) vs PSS (330). Qestions
1) Has anyone put the PSS's on their SRT6 after having PS2?
2) Do you like the PSS?
3) Would I see much of a handling difference?

The PSS even come with a trend warentee.

Ron I am on my second set of PSS and was on Ps2's before. In between I ran a set of Hankooks. Short answer you will love the PSS. They have that same feel and balance of the PS2 that give you confidence in the twisties. I was very pleased and enjoyed saving a few dollars.

BigKid, great to hear. Was hesitant with PSS. I'm in AZ and mountain roads are stimulating. Not unusual to be taking curves 80+. PS2's never gave me an issue. Read reviews on Porsche forum. Those guys love em too. I don't drive in rain very often. How are they in the rain?

I've had the PSS (285s) on the back since last fall. They handled great at the Dragon. I haven't them much in the rain yet and snow performance is mediocre at best.

The super sport is a great design. The deep groves do a good job of channeling water. I think they are good in the wet but like you I am not one to push it too much in the rain.

Well, I ordered yesterday from discount tires. Thanks for the valuable inputs.

Have had PSS for 6 weeks now. Only put about 100 miles on them. I prefer over PS2. I bit more forgiving. A ever so slight reduction in handling. Feelings like side walls not as firm as PS2. This is fine with me... I really haven't pushed to hard, yet.

I have used the ps2 and super sport on my srt, and my father has used multiple sets of ps2's. We both agree the super sport is a better tire all around and it seems to have a better life span, not just due to the higher treadwear. If your still looking nitto make the nt05 which i autocross on in tire class and it is a great tire, havnt driven in the rain but dont really want to cause the tread depth is not much
