I purchased the car. Wondering if I should get the eurocharged ecu upgrade that is on sale. Any thoughts appreciated.

Not if it is going to remain stock I wouldn't.

C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S and welcome to the forum. You only need the tune if you start doing any significant performance "mods". Curious to know . . . would you share the purchase price of that gem?

Sure. 19k. Considering history of car and miles I feel it's a good deal. Your threads were instrumental in my purchase so I am indebted to this forum. Thanks I was watching car on eBay and went to dealers site and saw it was going shy of 20k. Dealer was firm but got grand off price. Thanks for advice on ECU. I knew that reserve wasn't going to be met and dealt directly with salesman. I never drove it so I'm a little nervous about car. But no ***** no glory I guess

It's going to be a weekend driver so I think she will have enough power with stock . Once I get used to car I will get dcai, pulley and ecu. That's the feel I'm getting from my research on the forum

19K is a very fair deal for that SRT6. You will LOVE it! Definitely plan on the Needswings DCAI. Just to be able to hear the "whine" of the supercharger at work makes that mod worthwhile. Eventually you should do the Needswings pulley saver kit as that idler pulley next to the supercharger pulley will go bad prematurely (it simply spins too fast and wears out the bearing). The stock supercharger pulley bearing will also start to go bad about that same tieme but that's an easy fix (about $60 to buy and install a new bearing pressed into the stock pulley). Personally, I decided not to spend the bucks (around $700+) for the performance gain of a smaller supercharger pulley. Then you have to start worrying about a better belt wrap around the pulley to prevent belt slippage . . . you'll NEED to get a tune and it just kind of creates new problems IMHO. Others with actual experience having installed a smaller supercharger pulley may disagree on the benefits vs aggravation & cost and maybe they will chime in . . . You will also need to change out the intercooler pump (the stock Bosch pump will fail prematurely). Also consider doing a coolant separation modification. I did the separate resevoir "spit tank" mod.

Anyway, I feel you just bought a brand new $50,000 car for $19,000! Enjoy it. I would have bought that one myself but instead of doing my usual instant gratification impulse buy, I actually thought ahead a bit and realized that I don't need two SRT6s and the cost of a divorce would have made that purchase VERY impractical for me.

Lol on impulse and preventing divorce. Great information! I will upload some pics and tell you how it went on first drive. Thanks again. Arriving Monday or Tuesday. Open trailer but paid extra to have car on top. No hail and the car should be good
