Hello Danpetchy
Thanks for responding to the thread and welcome to the Crossfire forum. One piece of information I need to add your SRT6 to the VIN database is whether your car is a Coupe or Roadster to complete your information.
BTW, where are you located in Pennsylvania?

I hate to inform you at this time, but you DO NOT own the SRT6 Crossfire model, based upon the color of your Crossfire. There are a couple of reasons, your car does not have the AMG running gear, including the supercharger engine, nor the standard 15 spoke silver/machined wheels. The SRT6 was manufactured in four colors for 2005, Black, Graphite Gray, Aero Blue and Sapphire Silver Blue and Machine Gray that was added in 2006.
You have the Limited edition model.

Dennis

ROADSTER.
Please elaborate! I still don't know what makes a roadster a limited edition? The leather seats?
Thanks in advance!
Re: Newbie Registration of your SRT6 VIN#
I am confused. Considering the amount cashola I handed to the pervious owner, I should own something. Did my mileage and VIN number get confused? 1C3AN65L45X048017 I got the build sheet from Chrysler using one of the many useful links on the forum. Here is the color listed of the build sheet: BLAZE RED CRYSTAL PEARL COAT and the vehicle description 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE TWO DOOR
ROADSTER.

The color, and your VIN# explain why your Crossfire is a Limited Roadster: The 65 in your VIN# identifies it as a Limited (6) and a Roadster (5). If you had a SRT6, the designation would be a 7 in place of the 6 in your VIN#. If the seller represented your Roadster as a SRT6, he lied! Your Crossfire's photo in your intro to the membership confirms it's a Limited Roadster.
The 2004 Chrysler Crossfire (Coupe only) did not have any other model name designation, no other models were available until 2005.
Beginning in 2005 Chrysler began manufacturing other Crossfire models:
- Crossfire Limited Coupes & Roadsters
- Crossfire SRT6 Coupes & Roadsters
- Crossfire Base models, both Coupes & Roadsters in BLACK ONLY Exteriors with numerous option deletions, when compared to a Limited model
- Crossfire SE models, Roadsters only with similar options as the base models in BLAZE/INFERNO RED exteriors only with numerous option deletions, when compared to a Limited model
Good Luck....
Dennis

PS: I own a SRT6 Coupe and have been on this forum since 2006, so I'm certain my facts are correct....

Re: Newbie Registration of your SRT6 VIN#
OK I get it now. I was being stupid and did not carefully read the freaking title: Newbie Registration of your SRT6 VIN#
So I posted incorrectly into the wrong list and I am totally sorry from the confusion I have created. My humble apologies @DTMenace and @ZERACER
I knew I had a limited edition, I was just trying to update the forum with a new owner.
Sorry!

No harm, no foul, enjoy your Crossfire Roadster. Chrysler and the Karmann factory refused to respond to many requests for the VIN#'s of every SRT6 manufactured at the Karmann Factory in Germany. The Crossfires were shipped throughout the world, with the majority shipped to the USA, the headquarters of Chrysler at that time.

Dennis
