Newbie Registration of your SRT6 VIN#
Re: Newbie Registration of your SRT6 VIN#
Welcome to the Forum with the purchase of this SRT6 Black Roadster. It was once owned by a long time forum member and owner (IBLUBYU) for several years, so he would have a vast amount of information about your new SRT6. I'm sure he would share any information if you PM (private message him). The addition to the existing line will appear at the next published update.
Good Luck with your SRT6...

Re: Newbie Registration of your SRT6 VIN#
Thanks Dennis
it is a RHD so one of 179. I am told that less than a handful were sold in South Africa. Do you have any current SA members? Also when I enter my VIN 1C3APE5N26X068855 into the decoder it says no info on this VIN!

The VIN# decoder may be related to the SRT6' that were shipped into the USA for use, not sure it could decode a "foreign" VIN#, since there are differences in the sequence of the alpha/numeric, primarily the highlighted portion of your VIN 1C3APE5N26X068855. Those SRT6's shipped to the USA have a common VIN# that begins as 1C3AN79NX5X048826 (2005 vin#). You may obtain the information by contacting the UK Crossfire group, that may have information on the VIN#'s outside of the USA.
Listed below are the 3 Crossfire SRT6's that responded over the years and provided their information. They did not include the actual city they live in and not sure if they are the current owners at this time.
1.) 67166 SSB Roadster Johann
2.) 68797 B Roadster Arjuniyerp
3.) 69097 AB Roadster Louisnel
Hope this helps....

Re: Newbie Registration of your SRT6 VIN#
Here’s my story. It’s sad but true, to me at least… and I’m sticking to it.
When I stopped visiting the forum back in ‘08 I would love to have said “ I’ll be back ” but I was so devastated at my loss and stupidity that I never thought of getting another replacement for my lady. I tried it with others but it was no good.
She was so delicate but with a decent pair on her – oh baby. All in, she was my most favorite vehicle and I’ve had more than my share (‘90 MX-5 was and is second to own and drive, 71 Stingray is second for best face hurt – not realizing I was smiling so hard, Challengers – too much hype, Oldsmobile muscle - tears for its demise) just to list a few.
SSB and I were only together for a year but we were never apart. She became my daily driver and I drive a lot, FL, SC, NC, upstate NY, NE and ugh - work - 100 miles per day.
My life stopped one dark night when I simply pulled over in an attempt to setup the micro display GPS and boom! I found a curb where I never expected one to be. Insurance totaled her unseen.
Her VIN is in the forum list and I see it’s for sale – salvage title. I have some things I saved from her. What I won’t be giving to her replacement, I’ll post for sale on the forum soon. Not going to ask much, maybe they can be reunited with SSB if the current owner responds.
My new ride, whip or competitor for my girl's attention is an Aero Blue SRT. Former owner is on the forum and VIN is in list as well.
My Lady - 2005 SRT-6 SSB VIN: 1C3AN79N65X059117
2nd/ new - 2005 SRT-6 AB VIN: 1C3AN79N95X048774
She needs to woo me a little more to win my heart but warm weather is here finally. We’ll see. She has good lineage so I’ll bet she will take MY Lady’s place before long. My face hurts each time I get where I’m going.
Nice feeling, again!

Welcome back to the SRT6 world, with the new "chick" you've found at Treadway in Findlay Ohio! BTW, Treadway was a Chrysler Dealership back in 2006 and the son of the owner was a participant on this forum, so selling Crossfires continued after Chrysler downsized their network of dealerships. They've had quite a number of pristine Crossfires in their inventory, both Limited and SRT6 models.
I will update your information in the SRT6 database and it will appear at the next published update.
As you know, there is a vast amount of information on the forum for the maintenance and modifications available for your SRT6.
Enjoy your new Aero Blue "girl".....

Re: Newbie Registration of your SRT6 VIN#
Asking to be eliminated could get you a visit from an eliminator.
Maybe your VIN might make that job easier if the list is compiled only by the VIN.
