I got my new set of modded manifolds done and in being powder coated now, does anyone know the torque specs for putting the bolts back on? I checked needswings and the forum and could not find them.

20 N-m or 15 ft lbs or 177 in lbs

Section 9 page 730 of Crossfire Service Manual

 

I would go with Steve's (32Krazy!) "i go inside (closest to the s/c) 2 bolts outside 2 bolts then front and rear to 5 ft/lbs repeat to 10 ft/lbs then repeat again to 10 ft/lbs. i use a in/lb torque wrench as the torque is low to begin with and a 3/8 drive shoots past quickly".

This is what I used and had no problems.

MB Work Instruction Set (WIS) calls for 10Nm = 7.4ftlbs.
You gotta be careful with these aluminium/magnesium setups.
But I agree with Steve's inside out "creep up" technique.

Man you got good advice. When I asked this question I was told to go look it up on my own. Least I k.ow where all the specs are but at the time I was in the middle of the job.
