They're sized to fit the stock fittings and sorry but no dice on the core dimensions.

I think Rudy has shown too much and should pull the pics, with a little experience the core block size he is using can be figured out within 1/4" with little effort. Everything else will fall into place.

You know Dave, if someone wants to put in the effort and figure out the size of everything from pictures, more power to them but this isn't a charity and and I don't feel I'm obligated to give any information about this or anything else the same as anyone else. If someone calls Rob at Needswings and asks him for the bend radii and specs of his intake pipes, he wouldn't be expected to give that out freely so why should I be expected to do the same? Your troll from the other thread where you so handily gave up the goods has yet to be back here so congrats on getting stroked out of information you were able to come up with but that somebody else was too cheap or lazy to figure out on their own. Sorry to go off but this is the stuff that really gets under my skin.

Don't rant at me, I'm on your side on the IC, keep your cards hidden until it's time to play them is my motto.

As for the bearings, I keep info on where to get these bearings for future use. The OEM replacement at $50 a pop is a bit steep, so I looked into it. Your bearing was a no brainer.

Bearings are pretty cheap considering the technology and precision involved. Marking up the retail price 100% for a bearing is a bit much, but OK if you can get it I guess.

I think this forum is to help owners, help suppliers as well but not on some part that can be purchased elsewhere for half the price. I see that as the American way unless the rules do not apply to some.

Nice work! If I had your skills I'd live in the garage and would have already created a dual air-to-water coolers for my car like the twin turbo V12 AMG's. Hey, that would be a great project when you're done with the intercooler.

 

I think Rudy needs a grant so he can just invent...and not have an 8-5 job....

 

If I had the budget, I'd have had those done years ago... Such is life I guess.

Apart from this new CAC....are you moding the IC as well?

 

Here are some update pictures. It was just finished up and I should have it installed in the next week and will report back with how it works after I get some miles on it. Big thing will be it doesn't leak and that alone is worth the upgrade but I am really looking forward to seeing how the better core and it being a single pass will affect the IATs.
