Proud new SRT6 owner
Hello fellow srt owners!
After a thorough and meticulous search, i finally found the SRT6 for me. i picked up a black srt6 Coupe in houston and i couldnt be happier. I was ready to settle for an aero blue, but fortunately i found a black one before i made a purchase. Now living in this south texas heat, i would like to do some cooling mods before the pulley, tune, and intake. So if yall can help me get started your suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I saw your feeler post, and it has an impressive mod list indeed. Unfortunately it was out of my budget lol, but good luck with your sale!

I just recommend the isolation kit for now... Rob at Needswings will take care of you... Take the time to remove the lower panels and use a garden hose, no pressure and clean the fins of the radiators. When I removed my front bumper covers for painting, both cars had a lot of debris buildup along the bottom...you need them all clean to get the best cooling...

Hey Congrats! Welcome to the XF community! One of the first mods you should do if you live in TX with a black car, is to repaint it a color that would reflect the heat some! HAH just kidding, good luck with her!

And if you go white.. well you'll have one of the fastest ones too..
Re: Proud new SRT6 owner
Congratulations! Black is a great choice, glad you held out.
I just got the coolant isolation kit from Needswings in the mail yesterday. Highly recomended. In addition to cooling get an oil catch can from Rob.
If you need more cooling mods I would also suggest the thermostat mod by Waldig and I heard that a tune by eurocharged requsting a fan mod can help the fan kick on sooner and at full speed.
Does your srt6 have the factory IC pump? you may plan on replacing that in the near future if it is stock.
