SRT6 exhaust tips, insides black or silver?

Default SRT6 exhaust tips, insides black or silver?

Anyone remember when the car was new, exhaust tips, should they be black or silver polished?

So I do remember correctly then. However, search button did bot work on the iphone

Srt insides are black
The others are silver.

I remember hearing that some early SRT's came with silver inside the tips. (It's not really silver, they're just not painted black.) I think Tom2112's are silver if he'd ever clean them.

Mine are polished, but I think it had something to do with the previous owner(naudi90). I prefer them that way, as they try a little harder to catch your attention.

To my defense, not many answered on that thread. Needed a more extensive group to answer this. Still no real hard evidence.

Conventional wisdom says the inside of the SRT6 exhaust was painted flat black while the n/a are as shiny as the rest of the exhaust. I bought my SRT6 used and it is shiny (which I like, and keep polished so they are easier to clean), but I can see slight traces of black paint where the tips are rolled. I guess Chrysler knew these would run rich and leave a lot of carbon on the tip, so they tried to disguise it.
