C6
Re: C6
I'ld rather toy around with other cars where I don't have to drive at dangerous and overly illegal speeds. A 7 second race with a vette on a 40-50 mph road in town is asking for trouble.
I can put down a Solstice or Z4 without breaking the speed limit. Sure, it's not fair, but isn't it the same class of car? And if they think they got something, then why not?
Re: C6
Maybe.

Re: C6
My race with the Shelby mustang left me less than impressed. Although he won he barley pulled on me and he went first. Started on highway at about 70 and ended at an unknspeed. Cop in airplane said I was going 123. He was less than a car length in front of me. He did not give a signal to go he jjust decided after many attempts of me to get him to race that he would just go.
Re: C6
Correct. I got one. SRT6 handling will run rings around the Mustang, even with KW suspension on the Mustang and 275 tires on the rear. SRT6 inspires much better handling.... But in a straight line, ya, the Mustang will wind a stock SRT'6 watch

"Cop in airplane said I was going 123...."
At that point, what difference does it make that you won or lost against the Mustang? You still lost against the airplane and now have a nice speeding ticket on your record.
Re: C6
I have never had a problem taking the 2010 and older mustangs. V6, or GT..... Some of the Cobra's here are quick and some have idiot's for drivers.
Re: C6
Really, I think comparing a 2005 SRT-6 to a 2011 Mustang is a bit disingenuous. The 2011 Mustang
has 6 years of advancements in the design, while the SRT-6 has remained stagnant. Were there to
be a 2011 SRT-6, I'd think the comparison would be a little more realistic. That the 2011 Mustang still
has some level of trouble with a 6 year older platform, says a lot about the 6 year old platform (SRT-6).

Re: C6
Thanks man, as that is the point I have been trying to make. We are actually 7 year old technology. NO improvements, NO support, very little aftermarket parts, average price in the $15K area, and we still are right there with most muscle produced today. Now my other point is simple. You can have 600+hp, hell even 1000+hp...but if you do, you understand, you can't hook it without the correct setup, and the street isn't the correct setup... so....guess what? LOL

Re: C6
But to be fair there is a decade of bolt on performance tweaking which is fairly cheap in reality compared to modern cars. Another reason I love my car!
Re: C6
that would smoke an SRT-6, though most of what I've been "impressed" by have been more expensive
sports cars (I'll save the story about the SS Blazer that really surprised me). But, though I don't play
on crowded streest/highways, I've seen many cars, even some of the 'vettes fall to the SRT-6.
Mustangs, Camaros, Chargers, Challengers, GTOs, M3, Porsches, saw a Gallardo get thrashed by
an SRT-6 on YouTube, all have fallen when I was stock. But, be careful about any wagering...
you never know what might be under the hood, and you might get your clock cleaned by a rusty
old Vega.
