My SC noise
My SC noise
After reading posts and viewing other videos, I wanted to post my own issue to confirm what I already suspect.
Here's the video: SC Pulley Clutch Noise.MOV - YouTube
You may also notice in the video what appears to be "chaff" from the serpentine belt.
Just hoping it's only the bearing and not the clutch!

Re: My SC noise
I agree that sounds pretty bad. I have had a bearing start to go on my SC pulley before and it started to "whir" .... there was no banging sound like I think I'm hearing from yours.
The next step I would think is to take off the belt so you can see if it is coming from the bearing in the pulley OR from inside. I don't mean to cause unnecessary alarm, but I would NOT start that engine until I isolated this further. Not that I've ever heard of one failing on this particular SC, but if you have something going on in the gear-drive it could go ballistic.
good luck ... I hope it turns out to be something minor,
Chris
