If the steering dampener was that bad, imagine the shocks?
If the steering dampener was that bad, imagine the shocks?
I just replaced my steering dampener. That thing was shot. I can't believe how nonfunctional it was. With that said, at 90k+ miles, I can't imagine what the shocks are like. I'd like to change them but whats the thoughts on Koni's with stock springs? Eibach springs sound great but I'm sure I want to start chasing camber correction. I want to keep this car as close to stock. Famous last words?

They make the rough srt6 springs ride like an NA
They make the NA springs feel like driving on a cloud.
or you can firm them up... whatever you want. it will take a few trips to sort them out to how you like it!
I give them the thumbs up!
Re: If the steering dampener was that bad, imagine the shocks?
Installed the Koni's over the weekend. To my surprise, the original shocks had what felt like good compression and rebound. I wonder if they've been replaced at some point? Either way, the Koni's are great. I've driving only 30 miles or so on 1/2 turn in from fully soft. Feels great!
