Default DIY Dual CAI Tee Splitter FOUND

I don't know if anyone has found this. I SWEAR on ALL THAT IS HOLY, that I found a WYE splitter earlier, but now I can't find it... but here is a 3" Tee splitter... for 30$

http://intakehoses.com/Merchant2/mer...egory_Code=RT4

Would it work?

Yep. But you'll need this, too:

Silicone 90 Degree Reducing Elbow 3.5" to 3" ID: Intake Hoses, IntakeTubing, and Intake Clamps

And a short bit of 3" aluminum tubing, and a couple of clamps...

@Maxcicon - I ordered this... Aluminum Intake Reducer 3.5" OD to 3" OD: Intake Hoses, IntakeTubing, and Intake Clamps

@alaxfire - I also ordered these...

1' 45 Mandrel Bent Aluminum Pipe (Four of them)
1' Straight Aluminum Pipe (One of these)
2' Straight Aluminum Pipe (Two of these)
Silicone Coupler Hoses (Six of these)
Washable air filter media. (Two of these)
3.5" Exhaust Clamp (One of these)
3" T Band Clamp (Thirteen of these)

I will be using the 1 foot pipe to go THROUGH the T Splitter, cutting a 2" diameter hole above the 3" opening, then cutting 1 inch spaced "notches" around the inside to the full 3" diameter. Push the 1 foot tube THROUGH the splitter, then reach in the Throttle body hole and bend those DOWNWARD to create a sturdy, 3" diameter hole. Then I will take a hatchet and bend a notch ABOVE that whole, to create an inward bend, directing the air towards the throttle body. It's SUPER custom, but I think it will all work out. I'll let you guys know how it works and post pics if it does!!!!!!

That Aluminum intake reducer is 3 3/8 inside diameter because it is 1/16th thick and the outside diameter is 3.5 so that makes the inside diameter 1/8th smaller than 3 4/8 = 3 3/8 IT'S PERFECT!

I live in Utah so I have already installed custom "Devil Horns" and cut out the top right and left "flaps" in the grill to provide more aerodynamic suction and flow into the horns. You can literally feel the suction even when in PARK... But that's connected to the stock airbox and tubing. The filters will be going INSIDE the engine compartment but I will be installing heat shields and routing the devil horns directly inside of them.

Oh and it snows/rains ALOT in Utah so the front mount filters was NOT an option for me.

The 90 bends will have you working to get the pipes to line up, there is an offset in the NW Tee that I worked on. YOu could get it to work, just lots of tweeking to get it to go. ENJOY Woody

I changed everything. I will be using two 45 bends, very similar to the setup the twincharged SRT-6 uses on the driver side. Should merely be a matter of cutting a couple pipes to fit and g2g!!

I listed ALL of the parts that I ordered already a couple posts ago also.

With the T Coupler, the Aluminum reducer, the couplers, clamps, piping and filters... My total is about 260$ including shipping.

That's not bad at all.. Considering the Needswings single is a 450 date, and the dual looks much better, but is noted as "overkill" for the NA and an 800 dollar date, I'd have to say a nice savings and probably all the air flow she can deal with. Just looking for an alternate should things go wayward with the Turbo build. Seems a few are ready to break out pitch forks and see it killed off than sit quietly and wait.
Keep us posted of developments.
