SRT6 62mm Supercharger pulley??
Re: SRT6 62mm Supercharger pulley??
I have a spare OEM pulley and I intend to measure it and draw it up as best I can in CAD. It is just an exercise in the design of a smaller pulley. I can't see myself taking it apart too much though.
The secret of the design is the springs, the accuracy of the rivet holes and accurate assembly using rivets. The bearing is a critical member but basically easy to fit.
The smaller pulley (62mm) uses a smaller bearing and smaller bearings can do higher revs which are not needed here. Generally they also have smaller load carrying ability and that may be the weakness in the pulley. Using a pulley wrap kit will make that worse if done wrong.

Re: SRT6 62mm Supercharger pulley??
Everything depends on the hardness of the materials used and the required galling that is needed to make everything work. Those rivets are far softer than the clutch they are pressed into so to say that it will cause damage is incorrect and I wouldn't run something on my car that was going to cause damage to anything other than the tires. LOL
Re: SRT6 62mm Supercharger pulley??
Hey guys and gals, I was unable to get the printed dyno runs scanned and loaded onto my computer. However, I was able to get some software to be able to open the files from the runs. I have posted a picture of the HP with the new 62 mm pulley, tune and DCAI. I was unable however to get the torque to show up as it did on the printed page I was given. The same is true for the A/F ratio. I am still working at it and will post it asap. I have the files and if anyone is able to use winpep I will be more than happy to email them to you to post for everyone.

and the A/F. I am on a roll Jerry made one more tune to the car which I did not get to put back on the Dyno and look at. I will go Monday or Tuesday to have more tuning done if Jerry does not like where the tune stands now.

Re: SRT6 62mm Supercharger pulley??
just wondering what HP and Tourque numbers you had with the 65mm pulley compared to the new 62mm. Would like to see what difference it actually puts out. Any issue with belt slippage so far? i have DCAI, 65mm pulley and tune done, so far no issues

I installed mine (62mm) last night and it seems to have a little less bottom end then my 65mm pulley.....but the mid and top end have more butt dyno feel for sure. No enough difference to say it makes a huge jump from say the stock pulley to the 65mm....as that was a big difference.
