Here's a bit of trivia to strengthen your SRT street cred. You can always tell a Crossfire SRT6 from any other Crossfire by its fixed rear spoiler. Thanks for the SRT Snapshot, John.

I have SRT6. I have SE Roadster. They both handle traffic with ease. I leave them behind in the twisties. They were designed to do that. Not drag race. gary

what you prefer is irrelevent. you make a blanket statement that they arent designed for drag racing. thats incorrect. they are designed to go fast whether its for 11 seconds or for 20 minutes they fit the bill.
have you ever had your car on a track? until you do you really cant speak as to what these cars are or arent designed to do.

Noles, that's the snapshot I posted... nice find

After owning two Crossfires I can say with confidence -- they're best at doing whatever you please with them. Be it head-turning at a car show, 1/4 mile blasts, or straightening the twisties... it does it all.

Don't need to put car on track. I put mine on the street. The same with my bikes. You build dragsters, I build bikes. We are having fun. I just finished this one... Gary

Same bike, other side. I used my parts no one wanted. Now what do I do? Perhaps find a wrecked Crossfire and build a dragster! Very cost effective. gary

Actually, Gary was the one that told me what my car wasn't meant for (since the photo is my car at a drag strip). So, he's hardly a champion for calming down a discussion he ignited in the first place. Technically the SRT isn't meant to be the palette for the heinz variety of AutoZone chrome add-ons, but it's his car and I respect his right to bling it out. Humans weren't meant to fly, but the Wright brothers thought otherwise.

My car is meant for whatever in the hell I subject it to. Quite simple, really.

Guys, Gary throws out a grenade to get things riled up and then retreats to his fox hole and says Enuff of this. Frustrating it bees.

I have not adjusted to the new order. In my youth we drag raced bike against bike, car against car. There was no commercial drag strip, lights or clock and it cost nothing. It was fun. No records, trophy's,prizes or pink slips. To those I have offended there was no intent. gary

No worries, takes more than that to ruin my day.

On the note of 'commercial' drag strips, there is no safer place to test the limits of your car. You have no traffic to worry with, and there's normally an ambulance on stand-by if the shiny side goes upside-down. In the 60's you could drag race between stop lights because the population was thinner and lawyers were fewer. In today's crowded cities, I can't mat the accelerator for more than five seconds without becoming a hazard.

So, in essence there is no alternative... legally, at least.

Thanks but I do not collect motorcycles. I bought, built, modified and ride the four I have now. I have owned a bunch in my time. I still have my first new one.1973 Norton 750 with 60 hp . Made obsolete by my 2011 675 Triumph Street Triple. 108 hp. gary
