Does a PSK include the idler pulley and belt tensioner assembly?
Does a PSK include the idler pulley and belt tensioner assembly?
My car is in the shop because of the rattling sound associated with either SC bearing failure or idler pulley failure - the people at the shop told me that i need to replace the idler pulley and belt tensioner assembly.
Here is my question: will the pulley saver kit replace the idler pulley and Belt tensioner assembly? The OEM parts cost considerably more than the aftermarket Needwings setup.
Thanks alot guys!

Normally it's just the idler pulley bearing as far as I know
It looks like that is the part, maybe someone will chime in and confirm
2003 MERCEDES-BENZ SLK32 AMG Parts - OE Discount Parts
This is the SLK one, which is $200 cheaper than the SRT6 one, at the same place WTF !!!!

I was about to reply to this, and then somehow I close my browser...so let's start again.
The link didn't work for me, but I have included a link to Needswings who has the belt tensioner for sale (HERE). I know this is a direct replacement as installed one myself two weeks ago on my car.
If you have the PSK kit already the pulley that comes with that kit for the tensioner will replace the plastic pulley that comes on the tensioner. This tensioner is better (IMO) than the OEM as it replaces the shaft tensioner piece with a more traditional cast hex head to remove the tension.
From what it sounds like you are just worried about a pulley failure. If that is the case, the PSK will replace all the necessary pullies and will work just fine to help avoid an idler pulley failure. It even adds a little belt wrap to the S/C. Rob sells them for those with the 178 crank pulley as well as the 181/185mm pullies. If you have a stock crank pulley and stock S/C pulley you shouldn't have to worrya bout idler pulley failure as those are a result of the larger diameter crank pullies.

ALL bearings will fail eventually.... oversized crank pulley's just make it happen sooner.... check them regularly!!
