Opinoin regarding NeedsWings SRT6 Cutout downpipes
Re: Opinoin regarding NeedsWings SRT6 Cutout downpipes
I don't have these, but I do have some of NW's other stuff and they are all top notch. I have no reason to believe that Rob would sell something that doesn't work or is not safe. Their site claims .2 sec improvement in 1/4 mile so there is a power gain. A mathematician may be able to estimate the power gained from the lower ET.

Ask Jim, he will have some answers as he has all the goodies on his 6

I have the downpipes with the cutouts. I rarely open them to tell the truth. They sound nice closed. Without the cats you have a strange exhaust smell that lets everyone know what you did. I installed a teflon Y pipe and downpipes at the same time and saw 26 hp gain with them open. Maybe I had bad cats? I don't know and don't care. You will love the power. You may not like the smell or sound. One good thing about them is they're bolt on so you can always switch back and forth if you don't mind a few hours of work.

You can find a picture on Needswings website. It's the outlet pipe from the supercharger that transitions to a Y and connects to the manifolds. Rob sells one that is teflon coated on the inside and has a heat coating on the outside.
