Default New 6 owner has questions.

After doing some searches, I see the first thing to do is add the oil catch can. I couldn't find any installation links that worked. Is this an hour deal in the driveway for a shade tree mechanic?

2nd, occasionally the car will buck and sputter expecially when starting along with an odor that is likely unburnt fuel. I'm thinking CPS but the car only has 10K miles. Are these sensors junk out of the factory? Is there a better aftermarket sensor I should order?

I'm hoping to drive to Dallas and hit the speedway next month and need the car running properly.
Thx

The oil catch can from NW is very easy.... maybe 30 mins if you really take your time. It is pretty slick how it mounts....and it works very good!

Your starting issue could be the CPS, or the camshaft sensor, or... or...

The catch can is on order. I'll try getting some Seafoam into the intake but I can't imagine anything being gummed up at 10K.

The CPS is a cheap easy part so I'll give that a try as it's the most likely suspect. I understand the Borg Warner part is a better design?

I think the problem was with a loose air flow sensor behind the blower. I also ran a tank and a half with Seafoam.
The car seems to be running much better now.

Time to get it to EC for a tune
