Gravel by default
Gravel by default
I've used the forum search engine, but had little success finding quality information on gravel, other than most people avoid it. Hence a new thread requesting advice.....
I have no chioce. I live 2 miles from payment. I have little traffic to deal with and have no problem creeping to the blacktop (@ 12 mph). I am concerned about preventative measures I can take to protect my paint from rock chipping (from my own tires). I'm currently researching Xpel products but they mainly protect from bugs, rocks from other traffic, ect. Also, is there a particular tire/tread that will be better suited for the gravel? I currently have stock on my 05Graphite and hate to think of hte damage the gravel may be causing. Thanks for any suggestions, and no, moving is not an option and neither is paving the 2 miles of gravel road. I gotta save my $ for repairs and upgrades!

Re: Gravel by default
Another option is 3M Scotchgard.
You can do all the bottom trim, likely to be affected, even the wheel wells, if your a fanatic.
Check out this link for a short write-up.
It will also show Exotics getting a full body wrap:
Paint Protection Film | Detailing Dynamics
