buying a SRT6 in a different State
buying a SRT6 in a different State
I found a SRT6 that i could be interested in...its 2 states away...probably a 4-5 hours away, so its doable
ill get a car fax on it ahead of time and look at all the photo's...
how do you typically setup a mechanical inspection??? i wouldnt be making multiple trips..i want to go look at it, take it to a mechanic and either take it or leave it on the spot
do you setup an appointment for a Dodge dealership? or call a specialist to meet you??
im leaning towards a Dodge dealership since i can cancel the appnt. if the car looks like crap
anything special to Crossfire SRT's i should look for? issues/problems?
i think its got 25000 miles
thanks

Along that same line I am looking at a SRT6 this weekend in Wyoming and it has an Oklahoma title because the guy just moved to Wyoming and did not re-title it yet.. I live in CO and can be up there to look it over in 4 or 5 hours. Any one have anything special I need to look for on a title from OK? I have dealt with many state titles but not OK. Are they easily forged etc......
I am not worried about inspecting the car as I have torn my current 1 down several times and replaced the drive train.

Re: buying a SRT6 in a different State
I did this in October (live in VA bought in NC). If you are buying from a private owner (non-dealership) with a lienholder, beware! Make sure you get your stuff straightened out with the owner's bank before driving to pick it up. In my case, the PO's lienholder took nearly a month to process my payment off his loan, notify the appropriate DMV, and issue me a new title to take to the DMV.

As to SRT6 surprises, IC pump and IC itself, other than that, a tighter grip on the steering wheel.

First thing I would do is get the VIN and check the SRT Registry to see if was ever owned by a Forum member :https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...rmat-file.html
