Default Pics of my new beast...

This is the first opportunity I've had since picking it up to get a nice detail and put on some photos... basically stock outside, save for the clear markers.

Specs are in the sig, it's a low 12-second car as it sits (based on what Steve/Anthony are saying)

Expect to see my old Mandrus Wilhelms installed soon (although I REALLY love the way the SRT wheels look when clean).

Location today was so-so, not a big fan of parking-lot stripes in the reflection but I'll save the studio-shots for after I get the wheels on...

Cheers,

Looks great, John. I can't wait to see it in action at a track of some sort, where it belongs.

Yep, those rims look great when clean and polished. I remove, clean inside and out, then wax annually. Graphite is the best color.

I did thall this yesterday when I replaced my front brake pads for "low dust" type. I was amazed by the mess created by the OEM front pads. Black brake dust build-up on everything. The new pads can only be better.

PS The new car looks great. Congrats.

Thanks everyone!

Yes, still on the original battery LOL... Although this one says "Mopar" and my Limited battery (same build month/year) had a Mercedes Varta battery.

The bumper holes were the only major blem on the car... I will ultimately have the bumper removed and professionally filled/repainted, as the chin has a bit of rash as well.

I will be upgrading the brakes within the next month to the C32 setup. This would require me to run spacers on my SRT wheels, but the Mandrus wheels have proper spacing and room behind the spokes. I will go back with the Akebono Euro pads, as you could drive around for weeks with minimal dust buildup. On the track, the Akebonos were a bit quick to glaze, but that was mainly due to running a solid rotor, no gasses or heat could be evacuated. On the street, and even the Dragon, they performed beautifully. I'll be running Zimmermann rotors (OE fitment).

Thanks again for all the positive comments

From what I read the cars all came with Varta batteries, the Mopars were replacement batteries installed in the US after the OEM ones failed or were deemed about to fail after sitting a long time and self destructing.

I have Akebono Euros, they stop great but squeal a bit too much. I should investigate the cause sometime, I suspect they are not installed properly somehow. I drove back from Florida with them and the dust was very minimal, hard to see any at all. The OEM's would have the wheels looking very black.

Ruth has returned, and I'm sure John will take care of her as well if not better than Bob did.

Way to go John! Great find! Knowing that it's staying in the forum family is an extra bonus.

Awesome! It definitely went to a good home, I've been pampering the car since I've had it.

Scott, the guy I bought it from, mentioned that the previous owner was a forum-member, but he forgot your screen name

The engine mods he performed were tastefully/professionally done, and, essentially brand-new when I bought it.

To think, the car has stayed in TN the entire time it has been registered

If you're ever in the Boro area, give me a shout and I'll let you take a spin in it for old time's sake.

Cheers,

John
