Stacked pulleys - 23 psi with no codes. :)
Re: Stacked pulleys - 23 psi with no codes. :)
I'm installing a new fuel filter this morning to rule it out.
I'm sure I'll still be lean, so next is the retune. If the retune doesn't correct it, I'll most likely get a high-flow filter and pressure regulator. If that doesn't work to my satisfaction, I'll go back to 20psi.
I really don't see myself dealing with injector scaling and multiple retunes. I'm just not that motivated and I need to get everything finalized this winter. I already need to install the NW mani's along with the NW dual intake and I'm running out of time for making a winter (-DA) run.

not at all. i recently found a ls1 corvette filter that is almost identical to ours but flows at 90 psi. to much. so the hunt is on for a regulated filter that flows in the 70 psi range. that allows more fuel to flow without getting to wild on the changes.
it would be easier to just add a high flow filter and an adj. regulator but whats the fun in that! the hunt is were i like to be

Didn't you mean filter W/O built in regulator.

Don't forget me if you're selling the SL55 intake.

You obviously never installed a crank pulley if you think swapping one is easier than swapping a sc pulley. It takes me 20 minutes to change out the supercharger pulley and around 2-3 hours and lots of $$ for my mechanic to change the crank pulley. That's why I swapped out the sc pulley.
Furthermore, if the stacked setup doesn't work out I can simply (20 minute job) reinstall my stock sc pulley, instead of paying big $$ and taking big time to have the crank pulley swapped. Furthermore, it's cheaper ($140 for the modified stock pulley vs several hundred for a 185) to stick with the stock pulley.
Now you know the rest of the story.

DAG ON IT its not the injectors, its the pressure differential, just raise the rail fuel pressure a few psi and solve the problem, I had the same pressure 23 and got the fuel rich just with an increase of rail pressure to about 65 psig.................................
If you dont have an adjustable fuel regulator, see Rob, I did the testing of this and even went to 80 psi, durn near washed out the spark........ Woody; wake up and smell the coffee......

I agree with you, but I'm being asked to give them a shot both by TTM and EC, so I'm going to oblige. If they don't work, I'll remove them and go back to 20psi until I locate an inline fuel filter with reg that maintains around 5psi more pressure than stock or I'll get a high flow filter and adj reg from Rob.

Also, what is fuel pressure doing at WOT? If it's holding steady or dropping only only a touch, then more inj pw (if available) will help. If it's dropping a bit, then more fuel pressure won't help as the pump is not able to keep up with demand.
Re: Stacked pulleys - 23 psi with no codes. :)
ROB at Needswings has the pump, regulator and filters that will do all that you could want to do. I took the code 3 off my 185 cause the stock rear could not hold it and it was dangerous to drive on the street.
FYI look at the different galleries to see what I have done so that you dont have to recreate the wheel.

Re: Stacked pulleys - 23 psi with no codes. :)
Looks like the larger fuel injectors and the SL55 pump solved the lean issue, so I think I'm going to keep the stacked setup for a little while. Jerry's revising the tune to take out the lean spike and to lean it out overall. Hopefully I'll have things buttoned up by March 3rd.
