Default Attended the SRT Dyno Day

There was an SRT dyno day at JoTech Performance in Kissimmee, FL this past Saturday and I put my car on. Couldn't resist the 3 pulls for only $20. I was the only Crossfire there and you can see it at the 4:20 mark in the video, followed by my son's red stock turbo SRT4 w/Bolt-ons. He had problems with the clutch slipping and couldn't get the best numbers out of her. Considering the few mods my car has, I'm extremely happy with the 372 whp, and 360 wtq. Car is still ruinning real strong and can't wait for the cooler weather heading our way. I wonder what my car would do if I added a 125 shot of NOS. It was done on a Dynojet.... Enjoy!

Nice! Do we get 372 WHP with DCAI + TUNE + SC Pulley?
The SRT6 really stood out amongst the SRT4s. Shame I am not in the FL area but If I whould have I would definitely have joined you to the OSW. Fingers xed for you. Is it going to be recorded?

No wonder your in the 11's! A real strong car you have. I'm going to run down to a dynojet for the fun of it and see how far I still have to go to catch up.

If I run in the fast lanes, and my son in the regular lanes, then we can record each other. I need a friend to join me just for videoing.

Nice video! Adding to my favorites. Makes me want to do a pully and tune now even more. Good numbers on your run--no doubt. What would that be at the crank?

Next time I'll be in FL it would be awesome to go to a dragstrip and see a SRT do 11s.
Last time in FL I did go to a drive in cinema for the first time. I felt like a real local.
You think my SRT will get similar gains from the EC SC pulley + dcai + tune?

I had a droptop mustang and believe me, we felt the "fumes" from the surrounding cars. Fumes not being the exhaust but everyone smoking weed. Guess what movie? We watched "Fast 5". My girlfriend fell asleep.

$20 for 3 pulls!!! WOW, the best deal we can get here in vegas is $50 for 3 pulls and I did that 2 years ago at a GTO/Mustank club day. My first pull on the dyno put down 1500rwhp and flabbergasted everybody(including myself) and then they reset everything and I put down 377rwhp/367rwtq. on a dynojet.

Yes, but for $20, there wasn't an A/F readout. I haven't touched a thing since the last tune and the a/f was around 12.6-12.8 earlier this year . I'm afraid to touch the car from now on. I'm probably at max with the simple mods I have now, and any upgrades could affect the performance. Your dyno numbers do reflect your MPH at the track. Don't know if I can pull a 117 like you have, especially when the Code-3 pulley may only max out at 18 psi on cool days.

I hope you get similar gains. I know Chuck (Thumper SRT6) had nearly identical numbers when we dynoed together and I think his best MPH was only a 113 in the 1/4. And he also has cooling mods and some other things done. He definitely needs stickier tires to put the power to the ground. His 12.1 on street tires is still impressive.

I don't think so Jim...I don't want you to put me in my place....LOL! The next Funday Sunday will be Dec. 4th if you can make it out here, and weather permitting of course. You may have to give me at least a half second head start. My 11.7 was in cool negative DA weather where your 11.6 was on a hot day. Can't wait to see what you do during these cooler months.

Hey, you have more or less the mods I'm thinking about.
  • Eurocharged S/C pulley (you have the code 3)
  • Eurocharged ECU tune

I'll probably also go ahead and replace the IC pump as a preventive maintenance measure even though mine appears to be OK at this point as the added boost will no doubt benefit from all the cooling efficiency that can be delivered and the OEM pump is a known weak point.

Anyway, I've seen plenty of posts about the performance gains but I was wondering what effect the pulley and tune had on overall fuel efficiency. I drive the SRT6 every day as long as the weather is good. My traffic situation is pretty poor here on CT's gold coast. It can take me 1.5 hours to go 33 miles to work on I95. Given that reality, I'm averaging about 19-20 mpg with a totally stock SRT6. The best I've seen on a highway at a constant 65 mph is about 24 mpg.

Eurocharged claims a small increase in fuel efficiency from their tune which I assume is from leaning out the mixture. Can you comment on your fuel efficiency with the mods you have and the traffic you experience in FL? Thanks in advance.

I noticed an improved difference in MPG right away. It's amazing that you can increase the performance when you need it yet get better fuel ecconomy when you take it easy. Best of both worlds. I've learned to avoid the roads at certain times to avoid traffic. Mine is a daily driver too, but I work the night shift avoiding the backups.
