Supercharger Interrmittent ! Going to Shop. Any suggestions?
Re: Supercharger Interrmittent ! Going to Shop. Any suggestions?
Thanks. That's what I thought. I asked the dealer to check that pump the last time it was in and of course they said it was ok. I do have a Chrysler factory, 7/70k warranty. thanks.
What about an exhaust fan or blower? anyone know about that item?
SRT6 I just bought said he had changed the cooler pump, exhaust fan/blower anf the pulley? What's all the to do about changing a pulley? Do they wear out?
Thanks.

Better ask that guy again what he had replaced. There isn't such a thing as an "exhaust fan/blower". Sometimes the pullies on the front of the engine will start to make noise as their bearings are going bad. It could be any of the pullies at any given time. There is a supercharger pulley, an idler pulley, that can be trouble from time to time. Get the IC pump replaced, and hang on...lol

After raising the roof with my local Chrysler Dealer who could not find a factory inter cooler pump anywhere in the U.S. and after four days they still didn't know when they would be able to get one that the Chrysler Max Care warranty would cover, I found one at a M/Benz dealer in Atlanta. Different part number, same identical pump. They said they couldn't get Chrysler to pay for a non-Chrysler part numbered item.
I advised him that I had paid his dealership for the additional 7 years/+70,000 mile warranty a substantial sum and I expected Chrysler to do whatever it took to honor the warranty and get our car fixed promptly.
After my persistence in wanting to speak with the Owner of the Dealership, the Service Manager told me I had to call Chrysler. So I asked him for contact info to do so advising him that if I called I was going to set the Chrysler world on fire about his dealership's lack of concern and cooperation in this matter. He quickly changed his tune and said he would call Chrysler. I also advised him then that if he came back with anything less than we have solved the issue, that I would be needing someone else's name and contact info at Chrysler to go up the ladder. He made the call and in about two hours he called me back and said he had to pull some strings to get the M/Benz pump but ultimately he was able to get Chrysler to agree. They were sending a runner the 40+ miles to the Benz dealer to get the pump. Five hours later, she's a fixed!
So the moral of the story is, We can't do anything about the problem, or I don't know when we will get one; or There's just nothing else that can be done.... All of these are Unacceptable answers!
Get off your *** and do your job.
Maybe we need to send this to Washington too.

Further more, if the part is a Bosch part do not buy it from Mercedes, buy it from a Bosch dealer.
You will save a lot of money.
