No, the chicago area. For some reason I thought you was based in the chicago area. Put me down for a pulley and tune (also posted on your blog).

The 63mm one they are working on is an even smaller pulley which increases the SC PSI, probably similar to the 181 crank pulley I would assume. Euorcharged will chime in soon.

And for you Florida folks that need a new tune or re-tune, there is Justin who lives in the Ft Lauderdale/Davie area who can tune your car from his computer. He's also a tuner for Eurocharged and has done mine twice in the past from inside his garage. It was worth the drive down there from my house.

Yes, once a year probably would be this coming Spring. We'll see what Justin's schedule is like.

correct...we are still ways out on the 63mm pulley as there is a lot to figure out with that one....(belt slip etc)

That's great on a stock car now add a twin custom 3inch intake with a catless resonator deleted exhaust I see about 340 whp and some low 12s in my future.Great job guys.

If stock boost is 14.5 psi and the 181 crank pulley gets 17.5 psi (per eurocharged); How much boost should we expect to see w/ the new 65mm SC pulley?

dinasrt,
real world numbers may vary due to intake restrictions, valve timing, and belt slippage, etc.. but the math goes like this, essentially.

stock boost 14.5 psig (psi gauge) + 14.7 psi (one atmosphere) = 29.2 psia (psi absolute)

divide that by the stock pulley size of 155 and multiply by the new size of 181 and you get 34.1 psia

finally, you subtract one atmosphere and you get 19.4 psig

as an example of variation, my slk32 (which, after adding the sl55 intake, hit 15psi stock) has gone slightly over 20 on a few occasions with the 181 pulley.

to calculate the impact of the 65mm crank pulley, you take your 29.2 and multiply it by 74 (stock sc pulley) and divide by 65 ..... and you get 18.5 (after subtracting one atmosphere).

the 63 should get you 19.6 psig or so ...

Also worth mentioning, is the fact that the 181 pulley overdrives not just the supercharger, but ALL of the accessories by 17%. And worse than that, by virtue of its undersize waterpump pulley (sized to clear the larger crank pulley) the water pump is overdriven by 40%. Perhaps this explains why the code3 (65mm sc pulley) at 18.5 to 19 psi makes about as much power as the 181(crank pulley) pushing out 19 to 20 psi (and no doubt uses less feul doing it!) food for thought

Very informative, thanks for the formulas. I ran your math and came up w/ 19.88psig for the 181 compared to the 19.4 that you stated.

I said .... "or so"

I was using your stock boost of 14.5 and got 19.398 psig .... seems closer to 19.4 ....

let's chalk it up to a rounding error on my calculator ...... and agree that we like to go fast

Quick question, whats the difference of getting a pulley/tune and the pulley/tune/eurotuner?

Is the pulley/tune simply a mail in tune whereas the eurotuner is the actual tuning unit being mailed to you?

correct.

The eurotuner is a pretty sweet device. Its small like a pack of cards, and you are able to flash between tunes at your will. We can setup multiple files (stock/race/nos/street/gas savings) and you can flash them whenever you want. (additional charge per file etc for custom maps)

We email you the file, you load on the device, plug it into obd2 and a few minutes later your good to go.

The above charts are for the C32. Can they be directly transformed to the SRT6?
How long does it take to flash the ECU? Is it bad for it to be changed a lot?
Gas savings, is there a significant difference from let say stock?

yes, same ecu, same engine

2 minutes

yes and no. the ecu will not work if flashed more then 1500 times (ish) So unless you have that much free time, you should be fine!

yes, 1-2mpg

The dyno was a bone stock 32.....no intake mods etc...
