Default Drove under a chain link fence

As some of you know I had a slight mishap on Sunday and ended up under a fence. I took some pictures of some of the damage. You can't see all the damage but you get the idea. The steering link has to be changed. Drivers side mirror is gone, door handle damaged etc. Some of the scratches will buff out but the majority are really deep. I'll be getting estimates this week.

Sorry to see that. I guess that is why Hagerty Insurance prohibits racing when insured with them...

Sorry about your misfortune Les. I don't know if this is a fair price, but I found a driver's side mirror for $85 shipped. Unfortunately it's black, so you will run much slower with it until it's painted.

It is likely there simply aren't enough cool stickers to cover all that up. So, new paint , what color?

Or leave it as is and with that appearance you can park closer to the store's front doors. On the highway, nobody will give you trouble, you got nothing to loose.

Always a bright side

Les,
Sorry to see that..... maybe if you buff it enough it will turn Aero Blue.... and go faster!

(Aero Blue with a SSB engine bay wouldnt be a bad look.... )

I have a new mirror on the way. SparkieSRT6 packed his SSB mirror up and gave it to Rob in Woodward. I owe them both a great deal of thanks. If I like it I may paint the passenger side SSB.

My new tires shipped Friday. Tirerack didn't have my size for the rear so I ordered Hankook Ventus RS-3 285/35/18. I chickened out and stayed with Kumho 245/35/18's for the front. Both makes are very similar in how they handle heat so I think it will be a good match.

I drained the coolant system and put in 2 bottles of water wetter with distilled water. I hope it brings down the coolant temperatures at the track. September 11 is my next track day.

I revised the steering linkage and you can't tell it was ever bent. Amazing! The drag links and end links are sold as one piece for this car. I found one on ebay for $157.00 which I believe is a reasonable price.

I have an appointment for an estimate for the paint repairs on Monday. They come highly recommended. Let's see if they can impress me.

I'm moving forward now and not looking back. I was depressed for a few days but now I'm motivated. MIUAIGA racing is alive and well.

Dark Cherry Metallic! I love Nissan's color on the new 370Z ragtop. It would make for a one of a kind SRT6.

I admit to dreaming about all the color possibilities but I'm sticking with Aero Blue. I may wrap or clear bra the front and rockers after paint.
