Default Crossfire SRT being brought back into the Chrysler family

For some time now I have quietly promoted the Crossfire to Ralph Gilles, who was President & CEO - Dodge Car Brand. In August of 2010 I provided him with a lengthy presentation and asked if he would share it with his management.
Ralph is now President & CEO SRT Brand & Motorsports. This is excellent news for our little cars. While this is only a small tiny step, it is well worth pointing out to SRT owners:
History of SRT- PVO, SRT4, SRT6, SRT8, SRT10 | driveSRT
Dodge/Chrysler values their SRT (Street Racing Technology) products; your SRT-6 Crossfire is one of them. For me it is personally rewarding to see the Crossfire SRT-6 showcased on the same Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge web page as a Viper. There will be a few more inclusions at the drivesrt.com site for the SRT-6 XF. You can help by following the drivesrt.com on Facebook and Twitter.
As an SRT owner you are one of a rather exclusive group; drive em proudly

I have no doubt it was lengthy presentation and well put together if you did it Ann!

Good work! See you and Gary in a week providing there is a proper top for the red car.

Yes they are! We went to the kick off of the SRT National Tour at the Walter P.Chrysler Museum on Friday. It was a chance to meet the drivers, see the product line up and hear the direction Chrysler/Dodge is heading with the SRT line. I was impressed at the level of custom detailing and materials being put into them. Now I wish I had said yes to my husband when he suggested we get the SRT-6 XF! That darn yellow I just couldn't say no to it. Maybe a SRT Jeep in my future?

Thank you for your hard work and gaining recognition for the SRT-6! I am sure the presentation was amazing.

Ann - you are 100% right on the yellow!!!! Do what we did ..... Pretty yellow AND fast SRT6! It's the best of both worlds. It's also really nice to have a roof sometimes....

@ Doc go to the DrivSRT.com site, click on the "follow us on Facebook" link and "like" it. Upload a couple photos of your car (s) and Doc "play nice .....we want our new friends to like us and invite us back to play again"
The Chrysler SRT Brand management chose to claim the XF SRT-6 as one of it's own; it will take time for people to warm up to the Crossfire as a "real" SRT. I am not surprised on a SRT forum you were treated like an outsider.

@ Billington III your quite right dear, the extent of it... need I only say I missed my tee time and Babs went onto the stables without me. Ta see ya at the end of the week

Rapp's made contact with Adam from www.drivesrt.com and they came to our spot on Woodward at the Dream Cruise this past weekend and did some interviews with our SRT owners.

This one was with Chas (ichon) her at .org

Wanted to share an update with you. Today I sat in on the filming of 3 Chrysler managers/engineers who guided the making/building of the Crossfire from just after the concept car to production and onto the development of the Crossfire SRT6. This is being done to document the history of the car for DriveSRT.com history page. There were too many comments, stories and insight to remember but here are some random things:
-The SRT6 was know to have more HP than stated.
-On the Autobahn it was often that a Porsche had to move over as it was slower.
-An SRT can hit 180MPH (rather easily) under some conditions. (the N/A is no slouch either at 150MPH+)
- The design of the SRT6 and N/As were such that while the HP was not huge, the car was able to compete with cars that had considerably higher HP.
- A Crossfire was designed to be a high performance car. A double lane pass* at 150 MPH on a (closed oval) track was smooth and stable in an SRT6 or an N/A. This smoothness and feeling of stability was exceptional when compared to other cars they'd driven at those speeds and none of this was lost on the manufacturers of other cars in the region.
-If things hadn't gone so poorly for Chrysler the Crossfire would of had a future.
(* this is the phrase the fellow used-it's not something that I have any previous experience with)

Sorry that's about all I remember for now. I do not know when the tape will be put onto the site. When I get a date I'll pass it along to you.
Please "like" the facebook page for DriveSRT if you haven't already. My interest in any of this was to try to get a "parent" to acknowledge the Crossfire. Slowly it's starting. I understand the service departments have the Crossfire on their radar as well. To what extent I think comes down to each individual dealership and it's management. You can help by providing feed back about your experience with a dealer's service department. In my experience Chrysler and Dodge does pay attention to what is said. There has been concrete results, the 2005 Roadster soft top rear window repair, recently announced, was welcomed news.
If you have any experiences where your SRT6 surprised or out drove another car (which traditionally was expected to be better) share them on the DriveSRT facebook site.
If you want your Crossfire SRT6 to be considered a "I'd love to own one of those!" cars - help the cause. Ann
