NeedsWings Tweaked Manifolds: Dyno Tune Results
Re: NeedsWings Tweaked Manifolds: Dyno Tune Results
I like your thinking....lol.....both my cars, except for the coupe has 240's mani's, are set up the same. Asa, the lsd's are in...we will go get some new times. I do need new drag radials though...but we will work on that as well. I'd say you have found the "sweet" spot....good job...

Nelson,
I also went with the dark grey tweaked manifolds and dark grey (matching) dual CAI setup. It is gorgeous.
One question though... do you think I'll have any lean issues with my existing eurocharged tune (sadly I am still waiting to get re-tuned)? As I understand it, a re-tune will optimize HP/TQ but the existing tune *should* overcompensate properly (add fuel) to accommodate the extra airflow. After a ECU reset of course.
Thoughts?

I will also post pictures of my setup ASAP... pretty much the same look as nelsons though. I love the contrast between the polished SRT6 letters and the dark gray. I'll update with my HP/TQ gains as soon as I can get retuned (on the same dyno of course).

If drag racing it will only be in 3rd for a few tenths of a second...rest of your driving will be fine....I like the different look everyone goes for...it would be boring otherwise. I also enjoy how everyone has a little different approach of trying for those 11's....but, I staying with the code 3's...

This month I upgraded my CAI to a DCAI, AND In November I'm planning on getting the Needswings tweaked manifolds. the car will be retuned by Eurocharged after these additions, and I just want to be certain that I will not need to modify my fuel delivery system if I get the tweaked manifolds. What's your experience been please? Thanks in advance!

I did a lot of research on this. You should be fine with the tune.
Re: NeedsWings Tweaked Manifolds: Dyno Tune Results
You should be fine. My current tune (E/C) has me in the high 11's (afr and 1/4) with the mods in my signature. I have the SL55 fuel pump but everything else in the fuel system is stock. I purchased an adjustable fuel regulator and non regulated fuel filter but up to now it hasn't been needed and is in the closet.

If you don't have a method to check the AFR's for yourself I'd try to get the car to them for the tune. My email tunes made me nervous. Jerry said they were safe, but I wasn't convinced, so he fattened them up until I was content. My car gets real hot racing and I wanted a richer tune for that reason. Not to mention that once a year I stack my 65 mm Code 3 with my 178 for kicks and giggles. Then it does get a bit lean up top. As well as tear the skin off your face.

Re: NeedsWings Tweaked Manifolds: Dyno Tune Results
So it seems the "tweaked intakes" are worth the cost as per the returns I have seen in this thread. Do most of you also have the ported lower "Y" pipe also? Seems that item should indeed be paired with the intakes. From what i read it seems the peak numbers are between 10-15HP and torque at the wheels, nice. If the "Y" adds a bit a gain of 15/15 could be possible and the longer across the rpm range we see the gains the better. I'm glad I found something that had a decent return for the dollar.
I am still trying to source the 70mm SC pulley I want to run with the NW 178mm/PSK without sending the stock pulley to be turned in "Bulgaria".
