Default burned out light warning

When I turned on my headlights today when it started raining the burned out light warning light came on. When I parked I looked and all my lights were on even parking lights. When I went to leave the warning light wasnt on anymore.

Anyone had that happen before?

The most common light to go out when you see the warning is the rear license plate lights. If it comes back on check them out.

Sometimes when a filament is broken the ends are not making contact and the dash light comes on. When it touches the light goes out, finally the end will burn out and the light will come on permanently but the bulb will not.
Also as stated above many forget the two plate lights in the bulb count.

Brake light?
Did ya have someone push on the brake? (or use emergency flashers)

Hopefully you guys didn't get the SLK intermittant bulb holders... Mine is always the right rear running light. The tabs on the sockets start to loosen and make intermittant contact. If not caught early, the plastic starts to melt. Mercedes had a TSB on them and even though I had mine replaced under the recall with the new style, they are doing the same thing...

Keep in mind this is the Benz SLK I'm speaking about, just figured you can check them to see if you got another one of our "known problems"...

Like the other post, mine has been the rear plate light (2 times). Sometimes it will come and go, but always the rear plate light
