What the heck did I do here ??? Comments please
OK OK got the C to the local Manassas track and did some runs on a 75-80 degree day 5:30 till 8PM. Iam not much of a drag racer and had a handful trying to get down the track. Getting it to launch was a bittorch. I had a pair of 275 / 18s slicks on the rear and the track takeoff area was sticky to me.
I could not power brake for over 1500 rpm the car slid thru the lights more than once and I had to break my concentration to BACK_UP….aaargue. The car slid on take off as the slicks broke traction bunches, tried to pedal and all that but it had too too much grunt for the track.
So drag racers, what can you tell about the power and response of the car from the numbers?? Can you get any insight on the way the car ran, hope so.
I will be trying to get some time to get to the dyno, if we get any cooler weather so I can get time from work. That will be the final test of my new induction system design, more to follow.
WEEKEND
RUN# React 60’ 330’ 1/8th MPH
1 .746 1.960 5.368 8.228 86.43
2 .156 1.975 5.375 8.228 84.71
3 .256 1.908 5.316 8.184 83.27

Woody I am going to Woodburn on Sunday with the new EC tune.... no LSD (yet )....
I got the ECU back today and it feels very good... especially on take off...
Your numbers are similar to what I ran two weeks ago on Friday night..when spinning badly on poorly prepped track... but your MPH is off by about 4-5mph from my 1/8 mile speeds...
The first two runs I hooked up pretty good and hit 12.1's @ 114mph....

Woody,
Sub 2 second 60' times are good and mph should be higher. Also, did you run these passes close together? I ask since the pass times slowed up. I normally see my times slow up as the night goes on unless I allow the motor to cool usually 45 min between passes. fyi...I am running 255 PS2's in the rear with stock suspension.
I will break traction when reving to 1500 rpm's sometimes as well but the car does not push through the light. Maybe you did due to the slicks??? Track prep is also important and could have been a factor. Track condition is normally better earlier in the night before many passes have been done.
My best run is as follows:
2.001 60 ft.
8.126 1/8th - 89.40 mph
12.46 1/4 - 113.09 mph

DOC, Iam tryiing to do the testing of the new induction approach.
TImes 1 to 7
5:38
5:43
5:54
5:59
6:10
6:19
Bike went over
7:21
Nitros motor blew................
8:34
I was not at 1500 rpm, more like 1200; bottom end is big on mine cause of the crossed manifolds, exhaust, duel inlet arrangment, pulley.
Dyno should show merit if this is any good / aka the correct direction.
ET (1/8): MPH (1/8): Weight : (in pounds)Track Elevation : (in feet)Temperature (F): (in Degrees)Relative Humidity (%): Fuel Type: Gasoline
Alcohol
Power Type: Naturally Aspirated
Supercharged
Your HP is 350 from your ET
Your HP is 326 from your MPH
Your Grains of water is 57
Your HP Correction Factor is 1.04
Your DA (Density Altitude) is 1,850 feet
Your Air Density Index is 94.7 percent
Using my best run 8.184, previous dyno was 349 hp and a good match Eh??
A good link for you to see stuff....
