Thanks man,
Its funny all of this talk on a muffler and its not even the main part of the exhaust!!! This makes no power and its for looks and sound only! When my straight pipe comes back from polish hopefully things will change!!! I will have dyno results in the next couple of weeks....

No its not straight...Its hard to weld on straight and my clamp wont wrap around the body so I had to put into a vise....the minute I throw a tack on~ it moves, so I got it as close as I could...I need to buy some bigger clamps to hold on both ends so the bracket doesn't move. Maybe Ill make my own brackets on the next one...I just figured these were already made and pre holed and were ten bucks...would taken me an hour or 2 to make. I did cut some corners. But its only my second one. The one Im working on now will be a little different...pics to come

I have done business with freakingfastsrt6 as have many others on this forum and he is a reputable member here.
He has provided enough info regarding this project to convince me that he has the skills to fabricate.
If you choose to disbelieve in the work he is doing then move onto another thread please.
Re: An exhaust that will be on sale soon...
Can't see the photos as I am at work, but I believe you copied the design, and there isn't anything wrong with that if you are using better material than what the ebay store is selling. I the know for a fact the cost of material would be up there, and your time putting it all together. I wouldn't buy a system from ebay, or anything from ebay for that matter....I will take a look at what you are doing when I get home from work, as I am going to delete the resonators on both cars during my LSD install...would be nice to just to bolt something up, but, keep in mind, I have the same access to materials and can weld...so, may not be the best cost wise for me...but we shall see...

What kind of welder are you using? Weld up a fixture around the existing muffler, next time you just need to throw the pipes in the jig and weld it up.. no moving around.

Yes I mocked my design after another muffler...and have not denied it at all but my dimensions are completely different and material is not cheap...and if you are able to weld and get some materials I would suggest going a dual exhaust route as the x pipe I made is a one off sound and had a really good tone to it. I will get some sound clips when my xpipe returns from polish...Sounds much better than the straight pipe I had on it! There are no performance gains between the two that I can feel but the sound is worth all the time in the world to build. I can send you my dimensions and what I used to complete the build...it took me almost a 3 weeks to complete the x pipe and muffler set up but I believe that I might be the only guy with a true dual...so let me know if you would like to talk about it...

Im using a tig...the sheetmetal for the body Im using is pretty thin and I didn't want to create any unnecessary lines or holes that could potentially harm the material. Yes a jig would have been the way to go...at the time I just didn't think to do that. The vise was a quick solution

Correct but no xpipe.....Sorry but the xpipe is huge sound difference over straight though pipe into muffler....Even a h pipe would probably sound a litle better...Im not a fan of a straight pipe sound!

And again....not a fan of a cut out system as these are very easy to build! sounds even worse than a straight pipe! If you like that kinda of sound the system on my car would not be the system for you as my car sounds like a true tuned euro exotic car...almost has a melody to the sound it makes!
ive heard plenty of srt6 and c32 exhaust sounds at shows and ones I have built from the time I got the car and this sound is much different.

Yes...but your needswings I don't believe is as these are just down pipes with cut outs...Slk32 do you know what size piping he was using? As I have built to different systems one using 2.25 and the other using 2.5 im kinda curious what numbers he got out of the dual exhaust he had with what pipe...
thanks
Re: An exhaust that will be on sale soon...
I believe Metalmilitia had 3" exhaust if I am not mistaken. The Needswings exhaust can be purchased with or without the cutouts, and they have some very nice proven gains. If I remember correctly, XRay gained 3 or 4 tenths in the quarter with the NW exhaust. That is pretty awesome for an exhaust. Oh, and Metal's exhaust will give you goosebumps it sounds so good.

Let me understand this correct? Metal had dual 3 inch????? Why? that would be a waist of time and he would be losing a lot of hp~!
what's on the other end of the needswings exhaust? That is not shown and that would determine if it were a complete true dual exhaust otherwise its just downpipes with custom ss piping if it didnt have any cutouts? 3 to 4 tenths????????Idk if I believe that....Im a optimist but thats a little far fetched as my Corvette with a compete B&B system didnt even get 3 to 4 tenths on the 1320....
...and as far as sound goes Im very pleased with what my car sounds like as everyone that is by me always calls my car the little ferarri!!! the sound on my car is unreal
Re: An exhaust that will be on sale soon...
I dnk for sure what diameter metal's pipes were. I do recall that he had an awesome dyno at the Atlanta tune with 355 HP, and 353 TQ. Everyone commented on how sweet his exhaust sounded. As far as the NW exhaust, yes.... it just goes to where your catback would take over, so it would be up to you to finish it off with a dual catback. But after investing in that exhaust, I would not think anyone would not have a dual catback.
Here is the post where XRay was able to do .25 tenths better on back to back runs first with cutouts closed and second with cutouts open. https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ght-track.html He said that he did better than his previous runs to installing the exhaust even with the cutouts closed, ergo the 3-4 tenths estimate. I aslo seem to recall NW posting a 3-4 tenths increase in one of the cars they installed the exhaust on.
At any rate, I am not trying to debate or argue with you about any of this. You stated that you may have the first true dual, and I just pointed out that there are several members that already have a true dual. That is all. Good luck with your project, and I look forward to seeing your dyno results.

Re: An exhaust that will be on sale soon...
Oh no arguing at all...just wanted to know if the guy had a dual 3 inch or not?? Cause I would think that would be cause for much less hp. But at any rate thank you and I will post the numbers when we get in there...Needswings builds some nice stuff and its always nice to see different stuff producing different numbers...and I know his work is great and corners aren't cut. If I had the space and the freedom I would as well, but this is just a hobby for me, not a job these days. I can't wait to see some results from the couple of exhaust that I have made. Hopefully they give off similar numbers, but we will see!
thanks
thanks
Re: An exhaust that will be on sale soon...
I have a resonator delete and I deleted my two rear cats, in there place I fitted a Magnaflow x pipe. And the sound is amazing sort of Aston Martin V8 like I might get a sound clip if I have time.
Freakingfast is right there is a big difference between a straight pipe and x pipe sound wise, I know because I tried both out. Both sound loud and nice but the x pipe just does something really special
John.

I replaced the cats with the X-Pipe and still have the H Pipe intact.
