I am shipping the first KIt to Lantana today .... He says he will have it installed for the Dragon
As I finished the development and starting building this KIt, it became more and more clear that I had severely underestimated my cost in terms of materials and time (that's what I get for being a perfectionist). However, I will stick to the price of $145 (plus shipping and any Paypal fee) for the first 15 kits (which will cover most members here who have expressed sincere interest up to this point) . After that, I expect the price will be closer to $195.
I am attaching some Pics of the Kit I am sending Lantana. It should be clear from the pics that this is a refined solution without compromise. Plug and play where possible, 4 separate harnesses make installation simple, straightforward and secure.
I will have some shifter and steering wheel how-to photos with instructions available with the kit. And I may entertain the idea of modifying wheels and shifters for a reasonable price.
You will need to purchase the (rocker) paddle switches. The Mercedes Benz part number 1712670046 (for the kit of 2. up and down) is what i used (and recommended) and can be purchased from OE DISCOUNT PARTS for $104 (including shipping)

For those who don't want to or cant add the 8-32 helicoils to the switches , I am trying to source the correct screws (thread forming for plastic). MBZ does not seem to have a part number for it (checked the EPC and with 2 dealerships).
There are 13 of the 15 left, (32Krazy already bought his too). I will PM to the first 13 members here who have expressed sincere interest up to this point asking if they are ready to push the button.

added pic of rocker switch cut-out-template .... i will include one with each kit. Also shown is a "tool" I'm tossing in that simplifies floor-shifter dis-assembly.

I added paddle switch info to the post at the top of this page (yes, you must buy them on your own).
on the documentation....
I had scheduled a complete install (for yesterday) for an SRT6 , cleared my schedule (even bought a new digital camera), but the member cancelled at the last moment.
I still want to get a complete set of pictures showing each part of the instal in an SRT6, however, short of that, I can take enough useful pictures using my slk32 s (one I drive and the other is apart).
.... so there should be enough info available with the kit.

Thanks for that. I don't know how I missed it before. Now all I need to do is find a good shop that can install these for me. I have shakier hands than Michael J Fox.

I imagine we can then create a second template that will make it easier to locate exactly where to start cutting.

I am hoping to have everything together so I can do an install on the weekend of the 24th. I will take plenty of pictures along the way and hopefully the forum wont get a case of the cranky allowing me to upload the pictures.

If you have a set of paddles handy, I can do an install with you tomorrow and pay you for the paddles and kit. If you don't want to let go of a set of paddles, we can always do the install, take pictures and then I'll give you your paddles back and I'll order mine next week.
This would allow you to get your install pictures up quickly.
I've scrounged together the money. I know it's short notice, but if this Saturday does not work we can try next Saturday. You KNOW my schedule is open.
Frankly, I'd be happy to help you build the kits if it will help cut your 'cost' in labor. It's not like I don't have the time.

I Cant say that I don't like this Idea.
I already made plans to take the girlfriend up to the lake house this weekend ... but I do want to make some quality documentation for this kit, perhaps we can do something Tuesday? ... let me look at my schedule and I will give you a call.
And I do have an extra set of new Rocker switches that we can use ...
