The stocker with a SPEC clutch lol. If it breaks, then dissect, and possibly the 5-speed getrag.

Jim over in PA and I were talking about it, and yes it's a "Chrysler" trans on paperwork, but it was developed by MB, probably using the same shaft's, gear's, material and coating that the auto's use. Which are the same for all 722.6 trans', which I'm assuming based on experience of MB members trying to build up the lower model trans to the higher model specs. The weak point would be the clutch.. only, since that's the only part different from the auto's. It's just like the Crossfire, MB said "if you badge it SRT6, then it's only 330hp" lol. At least that's my theory lol.

I might just try replacing the internals if it blows too. I mean there really isn't THAT much going on inside the manual trans, you know? Just shaft's, forks and gears.

Interesting theory, I will be interested to see how it holds up...

Yeah, same here. No one thought it would hold this much and I'm hard on this sucker. I remember the BEGi Turbo at first how we were all going around trying to research more into SPEC. Turns out the stock 60lb dual mass, and 25 lb stock clutch are just fine for another 100+ ft-lbs. If the clutch is the weak point and it's completely fine with 340 ft-lbs at 78,000 miles I doubt the trans would go with another 200. We'll see. By the time I can fully afford the 55K motor and everything we should already be in Indy so you'll be seeing first hand what happens. lol

All sounds good to me, but keep in mind, you are running street tires, possibly in OEM sizes? I have 295/30-20s on the back of mine, and many others have drag radials. I think when you increase the grip is when you are going to have to worry about the tranny and especially the rear end, but I guess if Jim's is holding, ours sure should

Let me know anything we can do to assist in the move or finding a potential new home, I have a few realtor friends around that are great...

275's. With max grip on like a new road or something it's fine. When the Wavetrac goes in and I have better grip, we'll see how good the clutch and trans do. Jim over in PA was having problems for a while though. He's running the flywheel and clutch setup that HDDP was just without the SPEC clutch, from a C230. I bought one thinking I needed one too, and it's tiny compared to the crossfire's. He was getting clutch slip under acceleration. That's when we found out that the Crossfire moved to the updated bolt pattern in '07. So if someone get's an '05+ V8 or SRT, and want a manual, they need an '07-'08 Crossfire flywheel and clutch.

I'm looking for a job too, just to get us by for the meantime. If I could make what I do now ~$30K/yr then we'd be golden. We need to invest about $1K into the house too, then I could flip it and profit enough to buy one over there at a real good interest rate. We keep finding homes all over the place over there for CHEAP compared to here, it's awesome. Bad *** houses with land and detached heated garages for less than $100K. Some of them just north of you like 20 minutes too lol. All over the place.

Guess being "Centrally Located" and a great school system at this location doesn't help matters huh.. Hope you like snow up there.. LOL..

JENKS SCHOOLS GRANITE KITCHEN & BATHS NEW ROOF COMPLETE RENOVATION '13

Hmm just another thought... with me sitting on 25 acres it's not like a nice little 3 stall garage 30 minutes from this location would take up too much room.. :-)

I'll tell you what. Build another house on your property, put a small warehouse/big garage up, and I'll move in and we'll split property tax LOL.

Exactly! That's why Indy looked so good. Cheap cost of living, no smog for vehicles, no tornadoes...

No Tornadoes ???????

Midwest Region
Indianapolis, Indiana

Most people don't think of Indianapolis as a tornado prone city. However, Indianapolis takes one of the top spots when it comes to the Midwest and, in particular, Hoosier Alley. Indianapolis ranked eighth on Tornado Expert Dr. Greg Forbes most tornado prone cities list. Looking at its stats, there's no doubt why.

Indianapolis Tornado Fast Facts

1.7 tornadoes each year per 1,000 square miles

Peak tornado month is May, with 11 tornadoes reported in that month since 1950

Marion County (home to Indianapolis) has had 41 tornadoes since 1950
