Re: What size tires are you guys running on your factory srt6 wheels??
I have a set of 245's just sitting in the shop that I have yet to put on the front.
I am not sure if there really is any need for that size tire up front.
Quite sure I should have stayed with 225's.
Any way,
225's front
275's rear.

Re: What size tires are you guys running on your factory srt6 wheels??
OEM sizes for a set of Dunlop SP Sport Maxx TT going on this week. They are replacing the OEM Conti all season tires that were on the car when I bought it.
In my (very) brief experience with the all season tires, they are horrible if you are interested in performance. Rear tires spin way too easily and front tires don't grip well enough in turns. I'm not surprised by any of this but just wanted to point out that you'll likely be much happier with a sticky performance tire on a car with this much power.
I should mention...I'm interested in overall handling dynamics and balance rather than drag racing or off the line grip. I'm sticking with the OEM tire sizes as I figure quite a bit of thought from the guys at SRT went into the suspension setup of the SRT-6 and they settled on these parts as the best compromise for the suspension system as a whole. It's not like this is the family Civic, it's received a lot of attention from pro's before it was offered for sale.

I already have 15mm spacers, would 285 rears be overkill??

I ran a 285/30 for about ten months on my OEM wheels, with no issues and a nice mean stance. If you're at stock height, you should have no issues. Mine was lowered roughly 2" in the rear and I had maybe 1/2" clearance between the fender lip and the edge of the sidewall. 15mm spacer would have definitely cause me some rubbing under suspension articulation.
I'm still running the 285s, on a wider wheel and the same drop, w/o issues.

Re: What size tires are you guys running on your factory srt6 wheels??
It seems that going to 235/40R18 up front is a popular upgrade from OEM. If so, the best mathematical match to maintain the classic staggered Crossfire look is 275/35R19.
A lot of folks look at the 285/30R19 in the rear to go as wide as possible, but again, they might appear just a bit too short for the staggered look (about an inch too short, actually), and are really a stretch to mount on OEM rims.
To each his own, but for me it's 235/40R18 and 275/35R19. Chubby as can be, safe and staggered just right.

and post it up. No problems in fitting them I watched as the tire shop
guys installed them, and it didn't seem to present them with any problems.
Now, with your 15mm spacers, I don't know. Maybe you could remove
them, as you are adding 300mm by going with the 285 size over the stock
255 size. That will be split on either side of the rim, so the tire should not
stick out any further than what you've accomplished with the spacers.

with the 285/35ZR19 than you do with the 285/30ZR19 tires. The
285/30ZR19 is off by about 1/2 mph at 60 mph.

Too much diff, so that's why I was flip floppin on the 285/35 in rear. But after thinking about it, the 275's would fill the well a tad better, yet have a margin of safety on the 9 in rim. If you get 9.5 rims then the 285's would be just fine.
I looked at the sidewall height for the 225x40ZR18 fronts and the
285x30ZR19 rears. Sidewall height on both was right at 2 1/2 inches.
Not sure you'll get a better match than that, but personal preferences will
differ between you and I, I suspect.
Remember that the sidewall height is in porportion (a ratio) to the width
of the tire.

The heights of the OEM 225/40R18 and 255/35R19 are 25" and 26" respectively.
The heights of the 235/40R18 and 275/35/R19 are 25.4" and 26.6" respectively. Both tires are taller in roughly the same proportion as the OEM stagger. In my opinion, this is what matters.
A 285/30R19 will look too short (25.8") and a 285/35R19 will look too tall (26.9") with respect to the 235 up front.
Color me gone.
