Default Finally saw/drove the SRT6 I intend to buy.

Recently I posted a thread asking advice on which SRT6 to puchase from the two I had found. The concensus was a SSB '05 2-owner with 66k miles.

Anyway, I inspected it today and took it for a spin. The only faults I could find were:

- CEL for air pressure
- Engine was filthy (but unadulterated)
- A few small paint chips on the bumper and hood

I really enjoyed the drive and found it to be very comfortable and roomy for my slender frame. Looks like I'll be picking it up next weekend and thoroughly enjoying the 5 hour drive home which includes a 20 minute zigzag through the mountains.

Congratulations on your purchase.
I hope you have even half the joy Crossfires have brought to me.
CEL for air pressure??? Not sure if I am aware of that lingo.
Anytime you think I can give you a hand on a question just hollar.

Thanks guys! I've wanted one of these since driving one at the SRT track experience 5 years ago. I'm certain I'll have years of enjoyment from getting it.

As for the CEL, I meant "check engine light" related to a bad tire pressure sensor.

Here's a few photos of the SRT6.

The engine compartment contains the original battery, this should be replaced ASAP. I can't believe the dealer/owner didn't detail the engine compartment, its an indicater of a poorly maintained car. Get an oil change (Mobil1) and check the air filters....
Just my 2 cents
Good Luck,

The lady that's selling it never even opened the hood before. She very meticulous with the exterior and interior, but the engine bay was severly neglected. I'll definitely be sending the oil off to Blackstone Labs and changing it with some fresh full synthetic Mobil 1.

I really can't complain though, since the seats look new as well as the rest of the interior. I'll have the engine spotless in no time.

Thanks.

I'm very worried the lady is going to back out of the deal. She's offering it to me for $11,000.

A guy is coming by to buy my Passat tonight, and I'm driving down to Georgia in the morning to pick up my SRT6!

Try to keep it reasonably under the speed limit on the way back. BTW, nice car. Don't fret over that engine compartment. Just a little dust. It'll clean up in no time. Some people never pop a hood, ever. They feel that's what they pay their mechanic for.
